A great, new, very clean hostel - don't miss Dhostel! Beautiful location a bit outside Yalta, overlooking the sea. Easy to get to with local bus and short walk. Well equipped kitchen and good facilities such as enough bathrooms. Overall well-kept. Helpful staff. Nothing bad to say.

We had to walk a very long time to find the hostel and there are many stairs... it's better to call the owner right away !! It's in a good location, not far from the center. The hostel is clean, there's a big kitchen, table and chairs to sit 10 people (that's not very common in Ukraine). There's big bottles of drinkable water for the guests to use. Only one toilet/bathroom.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner gave us many advises and tips. The hostel is in a very good position, in the center of the city and next to the railway and bus stations. All the facilities were ok. You can cook and the kitchen is well equipped. If the owner would care a little more about the cleanliness (bathroom), the hostel would be perfect!
Yuri is fantastic and could not have been more helpful. We were only in Sevastapol for one night and needed longer and would definately stay here again. Recommend to anyone!
You might not have a big choice when it comes to hostels in Sevastopol, but this nice and hard to find hostel is completely fine for bagpackers. Prices might be higher than usual in Ukraine but are still resonable and Yuri the owner will give you helpfull advices if you tell him about your planed tours to the surounding area. When you arrive call the number on the door and wait a few minutes. Yuri lives few meters away and either him or his wife will open the door for you.
Nice place to stay in Sevastopol, close to public transport, close to the city, Yuriy is a very friendly and helpful host!!
Good choices, very easy to find and a good facilities
Everyone at the hostel was so kind and very welcoming. The hostel was comfortable, clean, and close enough to walk to many sights and important locations around town. I'm definitely going to stay at the Funny Dolphin the next time I am in the Sevastopol area!
Extremely nice place to stay at, cosy, clean, well situated. Plenty of information on display how to get around Sevastopol and Crimea, with quite useful tips. But what really recommends it are the hosts - good, kind and most helpful people one is lucky enough to run into.
I refuse to fill this out because the cursor will not go where I want it to, to make corrections. It will only go to the very end of the comment, no where else. Hence, it's a real pain in the ass completing the comments section because I can't edit my writing when I'm done.
owner is a professional guide with a lot of knowledge about the city/area. in general, staff is very helpful. location is not bad, but a bit off the track (central in the city though)
We really enjoyed our stay at Funny Dolphin. Marina and Yuri are very kind and helpful. They gave us a lot of tips to make our stay in Sevastopol as pleasant as possible. Both speak really good English so that for us non Russian speaking guests it was a big support.
Hostel is in the city center. It offers rooms for two (recommended) or dormitory (for the adventurous). There is a kitchen, toilet and shower. The owners were very friendly and provided a lot of advice for traveling. For example, the path to the palace in Bakhchisaray, Balaklava, Yalta. In the summer we recommend to book accommodation in advance because the hostel is quite busy.

a definite plus to have A/C it was very hot while I stayed in Sevastopole and the cool air gave me some rest. Thanks for the tips on sight seeing. But the ferry to Inkerman runs much less on week days, I think it was 7:05 and 16:20 from Sevastopole. so I took a bus to 5th km and found 104 bus does not go there but 103 does.
Firstly, this place isnt a hostel in the normal sense of the word. It's a flat, and when you enter, there's no counter or help desk. The owners live elsewhere, and visit as often as there are visitors. The more people staying the more visits. Generally they are friendly and try to be as helpful as possible, although the lady has a better grasp of English than the man (Yuri). Washing clothes is quite expensice, but the kitchen as reasonably good facilities and the itnernet is stable.
Great hostel, you definitely have to check out. By the way, just the hostel father Yuri is worth staying one or two nights!
Yury was very helpful and nice. Good maps and info regarding Sevastopol and the region. Good location. Clean and the AC works great.
Well located. Great info. Yuri was very helpful.
