Wasn't a warm and friendly place. Hostels are usually fun. The staff didn't care about you or what you wanted to do. I booked all my events through Balmer's.
The rooms were a little old, but clean and the staff was always helpful and in a good mood so it made up for the ancient feel. While the rooms locked there were no lockers to store luggage in, so when sharing a room with 8 people, leaving luggage for the day is a concern. I saw the rooms cleaned daily so very clean. A few little reno's would go far including installing lockers. That is my only reason for not giving 100%
A little cold in the room, but worth it ~
Stayed there for 1 night only and it was fine - not far from the train station whatsoever (15mins walk max) and the directions are super clear. There was not much people around so I got a double room ensuite even though I paid for a place in a dorm - cannot really complain :) All in all, good value for money and I would recommend this place to others!
Hostel was so empty they bumped me up to a private room. Nice change in pace but very quite.
Very classy older hotel with every amenity, transformed into a youth hostel. The hostel aspect is quite a contrast from the elegance of the old hotel. Awesome setting in the Alps; drink your free coffee/tea while you enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains. Centrally located. Super-nice.

First of all the Night Attendant was rude and not at all helping in nature. Free WiFi was available but not at the room. It was only available at the bar. It was 20 min walk to the station Interlaken OST, so not close to station as u may think. Rooms were good, especially very spacious.
Funny Farm had clean sheets and bathrooms. The people at the front desk were very helpful. The whole place had a mini ski lodge feel--super warm and comfy. My only complaint is there was loud music coming from below us at night. Made it a bit difficult to sleep. View from the balcony was incredible though.
Wow to stay anywhere in Switzerland for that price, heck it coulda been a cardboard box and I'd be happy! Funny farm was unbelievably great for that price!! I had a great view, also the staff was so nice. The blonde girl helped me and answered my questions for like 30 minutes! That's some good customer service.
It's more than 20 minutes walking from train stations, but after your arriving, customer will get a free bus card, which is good. Facilities are not clean and very old. The worst beds I even seen in hostels, steel 2-tiers bed, once anyone walks in the room, every bed will shake LOUDLY!
Nice hostel..little far from the station though.. friendly staff..but no free breakfast.. and the internet works only in the lobby..
Too noisy at night and a bit dirty.. We asked for a triple ensuite and they gave us a eight-person dorm with no towels and only one blanket each bed. And the room and the bathroom are quite dirty..
