The staff at this hostel were absolutely wonderful. They spent well over an hour with us (cumulative) advising us on what to do, the cheapest way to do it, etc. They also handed us a free beer each late one night when they'd all had a few. :) The security situation is a bit strange - there is only one key per room (although there are only 4 people per room max), and the idea is that the key stays in the room, and the last person out locks the door, and checks the key into reception.

I feel so comfortable at your hostel. Only one thing you should fix is the Room No 117's toilet door lock. Thank you.

breakfast was advertised 7.30-11 in the rooms. Turns out it shuts at 10am. The staff were unhelpful and told me it had been this way for 3 years and they didn't seem particularly interested in charging the written guidance in the room.

There is no wifi in the room. It is difficult to find this hostel. We were changed into another room on the second day.

We have a great time at Funny Farm, we have booked a 10 bedroom and they have changed us (me and my wife) for a private room for the same price!

the obly thing which was not 100% ok was the heating: it was to low power for that cold night and that big room. thicker rugs could solve the problem too. otherwise an awesome hostel fir real good value!!

Nice place, has a bar downstiars and a restraunt. has washing facilities which is great. the people who run it were very friendly. its a little bit of a walk into the city center but not to far. I would go back.

The price of Funny-farm is attractive. The staff is nice and friendly to us. Anyway, it is a surprise to live in such a hotel in Switzerland.

The hostel is great! But I was greeted by a pony-tailed unibrowed man at reception who acted like my presence was the greatest inconvenience in the world. He rolled his eyes, slammed the cash drawer, threw my money back at me when I offered a large bill that he couldn't break, got angry when I couldn't hear him ask if i wanted more light and slammed the switch on, when I said i was american he said "Oh that makes sense" in an asinine tone, etc. I'm shocked he hasn't been fired. He should be.

Possibly the best place I've stayed in Europe! Not only was the location perfect, but the rooms were exremely comfortable with a warm and home-like atmosphere. The staff were fantastic: friendly, hospitable, accommodating, patient and kind. Nowhere else matches this place. You can't skip it!

We were a group of 6 people who stayed at funny farm. We had booked 2 rooms. The rooms were kind of average. It was clean enough. In one of the rooms, flush was not working in the wc and also there was no lock on the door of the wc . Inspite of booking a double room, there was only one towel kept in the shower and only a small sachet of shower gel for 2 people.

Amazing views of the mountains! The room was super clean and the beds more comfortable than our own at home. Definitely the coolest spot in Interlaken!

The season is over and there is absolutely nothing going on in the evenings. Rooms were roomy, but no lockers. Blanket will be too small for anyone over 6ft. Location is ok, the directions are poor. Bus 104 stops nearby, will take you to both train stations. No kitchen or even a microwave. Breakfast was ok for 10 CHF, no hot items. Front desk helpful, but half of the things I was told turned out to be not true. No lockers and the luggage room is not locked. WiFi is speedy but only in the lobby.

We really LOVED the view from our room! REALLY BEAUTIFUL! There were some women staff that were very friendly and very helpful, but we found that one of the men staff was REALLY RUDE! Not very professional. We enjoyed the town but found the food to be EXTREMELY expensive. We enjoyed a meal AT the hostel and it was actually quite reasonable and very tasty.
