We had a great stay at Funny Palace. The room itself was wonderful and we had a private bathroom, with 3 keys to get into the room (one for the building, apartment and room) we definitely felt safe. They also gave us a free bottle of wine which was a nice touch, and breakfast (croissant and a drink) was included with no hour restriction which was very helpful for us. The location is right by Termini which was great for us. The transportation system is really accessible so it's a good location.

Free breakfast was at a nearby cafe and included cappuccino/coffee/juice and a croissant of your choice! Safe and comfortable accommodation but imply one toilet for the floor of about ten people. Also, check in is at an internet/laundromat, which threw us off a bit, but staff was helpful!

Bit of a let down considering this hostel has won awards. There's no common room, there's no kitchen. Quite hard to meet people unless you leave your dorm room door open all the time. Very clean, the rooms get remade every day which was nice, our shower was atrocious but I think some of the others were ok. If you want a quiet place to relax after a long day this was a nice hostel, but if you want to party definitely don't stay here. Also the wifi stopped working the 2nd day in and wasnt fixed

It was good to stay and the unexpected room upgrade was so fantastic. Also, the friendly staff and welcome wine were great too. One small thing is that it was not easy to communicate with the old Italian lady. It would be nice if there are enough pre-agreements on all relevant information like cleaning, locking room, and checking out time etc.

Great stay at Funny Palace. Great for spending a night or two before a flight the next day. Perfect location and very clean. More like a hotel. Would definitely stay here again :)

Eric was really helpful and friendly. The other attendants where a little rude. But Erick helped my stay improve significantly.

Its a place just for sleep.... The breakfast it's only a croissant and a drink, the shower it's the problem in the morning, but the rest was good. I would stay there again

Location is close to all: transportation, eating places but now clubs or bars. Facility maintence was exellent and done on a daily basis.Pricewise is a little off, because you can find a decent room in near by hotel for 100 euro per night. So 3 people will ended up to pay the same price but have a better quality, so what is the hostel purpose than?

Pretty clean, felt secure/safe. Room was basic, but was all we needed. Ok location - very close to Termini, which was good for us. No air conditioning, and it was hot, so we had to leave the window open for air - it was SO LOUD with the window open though! We barely slept. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are really nice well laid out and very secure. It is a little weird to check in at the laundromat but once you accept that fact the stay is great. Take them up on their discounted offers of where to get food near the hostel. It was excellent!!! The staff are very friendly and give you a great briefing of how to get around Rome and see all the major attractions and maximize your stay! Also its really nice to be able to get your laundry done at store well your out exploring Rome

We stayed in a private room which was its own apartment on the 3rd floor. Great wifi. The thing that separated this hostel from the Rest was our greeting. We met with the manager first thing and he gave us a map and because of his prior experience being a tour guide in Rome he explained the metro stops for the attractions in Rome and helped us plan out our entire weekend within about 15 minutes, handed us our keys, gave us a bottle of wine, and was available from then on for ?'s. free breakfast.

I booked a double room with private ensuite bathroom. It was very clean and newly refurbished. The hostel staff was awesome and very helpful in suggesting places to visit in Rome. The hostel is close to Termini station which was very convenient. The location is not as nice as other parts of Rome but I felt safe enough walking around at night.

The hostel was not clean at all. We stayed at a private room ensuite and the bathroom reeked. There were also cleanliness issues with the bedding which we told the staff. Having said that, they did make some changes for us but there was no apology and the place was still below average for cleanliness.

Great location as it is close to the train station and bus stops! Lots of good restaurants nearby which was perfect! Mabri was the best host and helped us plan out our stay in Rome as soon as we got there which was very helpful! Clean room and bathroom! No complaints- I would definitely stay here again!

Nice location, really good security, tidy up your bed everyday, everything is good. BUT NOT the breakfast, the only thing disappointed.

It's a bit difficult to find the hostel because there's no sign and the numbers on the street are confusing but just remenber to get to the loundry. It's well located (very close to the station) and the neighbourhood is safe in the night. The staff is helpful and gives usefull advices. We got the room with the bathroom (we booked shared bathroom) so it was nice surprise, it was clean everyday and got aircondition. There was also small breakfast (croissant and good coffee) in the cafe nearby.
