It was a litle difficult to find and their was no signage confirming that it was the Funny Palace.

Funny Palace is conveniently located near the central station (Termini), which makes it easy to get around the city as both Metro lines and many city/local buses depart from here. The room we had was very nice, and felt like having our own apartment in Rome. That being said, this can lead you to feeling somewhat secluded. However, the staff are very eager to help you plan your stay in Rome, and they also provide discounts to many local restaurants and cafes. It was my second time staying here...

very friendly- wanted to help us plan our trip in Rome. Had a map out and everything- plus the bottle of wine was very nice. Mabri was very sweet and I felt very at home here. The rooms were very clean and very well kept. Id go back in a heatbeat, as well as recomend to friends.

It\'s hard to find at first since the front desk is basically an internet cafe and laundromat. But our hosts were nice and the room was great for the price. Recommended!

This place was OK. Good location because it\'s right new Termini but the room was nothing special. We missed our flight arriving into Rome and still had to pay for the first night even though I sent them a cancellation email. They conveniently \"didn\'t get\" that email. Sure. If you\'re doing the backpack thing and looking to meet other travelers this is not the place for you. Not terrible if you want a private room. I would not stay here again.

I definitively enjoyed and recommend this hostel. Very good location (near Termini), very nice and helpful staff, very good wi-fi connection, clean rooms... they should work on the presentation. The reception (a laundry) doesn't show what it really is. Also, it could have a common area for people to integrate....there isn't nothing like that in this hostel. But still, it's a good place to stay.

Wonderful hostel -- nice, cozy, clean and elegant. Loved the staff and was pleasantly sursprised to be greated with a bottle of wine and a cupon for a free breakfast at a nearby cafe. The only drawback, I guess, is the lack of hot water but hopefully this will be fixed in the nearest future.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms; the setup helps travelers meet and to create a nice atmosphere. Good facilities, excellent location. Excellent amenities: free internet, reduced laundry, free breakfasts, offers at local restaurants. Only one problem: cold water on the first floor of the building across from the Lavanderia (the shower of room F)

Wow. Funny Palace is definitely one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. The location was perfect, very close to Roma Termini, so never any bullshit finding it. The employees were always helpful, listening and giving information. The room and bathroom were very clean, and I loved the safe (one per bed). Great place.

If you travelling alone and you want to meet pepole is not the hostel for you (No common room (I heard that there's one but I don't know where) so it's hard to meet pepole if you are travelling alone.) BUT If you travelling with other pepole and you want a quiet and clean place with a good location (near of the train station and the bus)this hostel is PERFECT!!! Follow the tips of Mabry it's really worth it and you can see the most important places in a few days!

We had a great stay at the Funny Palace. When we arrived we were sat down and with a map in front of us created a great plan for our stay in Rome. The tips and tricks were very helpful. The hostel was big and clean and quiet, the wifi was fast, it was a very short walk to the train station and main bus station to get everywhere in Rome. Even the restaurants that were recommended by the staff were delicious, and some of the cheapest we found in Italy. We would definitely stay again.

Don't be fooled by the slightly sketchy looking "Internet Point and Laundry" spot where you get your keys to your room, this "hostel" looks like a bed and breakfast! The staff was amazing... the main guy planned out our itinerary for us perfectly, and the little adorable old cleaning lady made sure to wave and shout "ciao" to us everyday as we were leaving. Great two-person room for the price, with the added bonus of getting an ensuite bathroom for no extra charge. Loved it!

Our group had a great experience. The only issue was the air conditioner in our room worked but wasnt very cold so our room was hot. Friendly, quick service and a location that was very good.

I loved my stay, the building in which the rooms where was very safe and even grandiose, the rooms were large and clean, and was cleaned daily. The checkin/out times were flexible. The staff was friendly and welcomes you with a bottle of wine! The only issues I had with this hostel was the lack of hot water in the showers in the morning, and the fact that six people shared one bathroom although one room had its private one. Overall, great hostel and I would gladly return.

Great location, very helpful staff, very clean. Free bottle of wine on check-in too. Only small problem is having to wait a while for hot water in the shower. Could also do with a slightly better common area. All in all, a great hostel - I'd stay again.

The staff was really friendly and the room was nice and clean. My friend and I arrived with no plans but Mabri handed us a map of the city and planned out what places to see and visit for the two days we were there. It was great and really helpful. Can't stress enough how awesomely nice and helpful the staff is!

I don´t know how reliable are my comments, i stayed there just for one day. When i arrived the man in the reception gave me too much information in one minute, he really helped me, but i can´t say that he was sympathetic... There wasn´t any lockers in my room...
