Funny Palace Hostel Reviews

My stay at the Funny Palace was really great! I stayed two nights in a 4 bed mixed dorm room. When I arrived at the hostel, I wasn't wowed by the internet/laundry room and it was a bit dirty. However, the rooms were really nice and the beds were made up each day. At Funny Palace, there is a baggage room which is very convenient because checkout is at 10am, and if you still want to do things around Rome, you can just leave your stuff in there and get it when you're done. And it's free!

I will definitely be returning to this Hostel. It was amazingly clean and the staff were great. Thanks for a great trip!

Funny Palace is an unusual hostel definetely, very nice! All staff, from reception to cleaning service is very helpful and kind! They give you all info that you need for sightseeing and give discount coupons for restaurant in the nearby area. Nice room with comfortable beds and tv. Bedroom and bathroom very cleaned. It seemed to be in a 3 star hotel instead of an hostel. Breakfast included in the price, is served in a bar just a stroll away. It's basic only coffee or cappuccino and croissant.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Funny Palace and can only recommend the place! It is very close to Termini station and you can walk to the Colosseum within short time. As well the owner, Mabri, has been very welcoming and been a great host! We definitely will return if in Rome another time!

The heater system doesn't work at nigths...

Great hostel, the staff did anything and everything to make my staff excellent!

I really enjoyed my time in the hostel, the owner was very friendly and he stayed very late in the night waiting for me!!! i arrive past midnight (my flight was delayed)... i really recommend this hostel, and is very near to the rome central station!!! :)

Perfect service.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean for the most part- the only thing that made me uneasy was that the comforter (that is included) had a lot of hair stuck to it which made me question how often it is washed. It is in a fairly good location, only a 5 minute walk from the main Termini station and within 25 minutes to some of the other main sites such as the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain.

We had an excellent stay at the Funny Hostel and found the staff very very helpful and courteous. My luggage was delayed by Alitalia and the staff helped to negotiate its delivery. The room was comfortable and the location excellent. Thank you and please forgive the delay in filling out this evaluation.

I had a very nice experience at this hostel. I was only in Rome for 24 hours and stayed one night. The staff was very nice - even when I broke my key :) I will definitely recommend this hostel to friends who are going to Rome. The room was nice and quiet and the beds comfortable and everything was clean. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Due to a mix up with a friend, I was two hours late. But the owner himself stayed up to wait for me. I was met with a smile and a bottle of wine. The hostel is nice and clean--everything I was looking for.

I stayed in the hostel for four nights and I really enjoyed it. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch, the owner's customer service was exemplary, and the room was clean. There are small safes in the rooms, which is very handy. The hostel is well located and within few minutes walk from the main train station. The only issue I had was that there is no common area where I could hang out and meet other travellers. Overall a great experience though, would stay again!

Good price/qualyty relation, though the breakfast is not a real breakfast (just coffee and 1 bread)
