Great hostel, Jonny was really friendly and helpful with our stay. He gave us a map and all the information we could ever need about how to get to all the sites in Rome, and even upgraded our room for free. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Rome!
Poor location, some members of the staff couldn't care less if you're there or not and the walls are really thin.
A little unconventional to check-in and room was a little walk away, but a delightful place to stay. Breakfast was only a croissant and a coffee at a cafe down the street. Staff were helpful and made laundry a breeze.
It is not a hostel, it's more like a hotel, if you are travelling alone don't go there, there is no place to meet new people. The room was very good, i shared with 2 friends and it was clean, has wifi, but we wanted to meet new people and this was impossible. Zero contact to other people
The check-in area is in a laundry and computer room, which does not look so inviting so do not let it fool you. The rooms are in the building next to it and it looks much nicer, so do not worry. After we arrived, they checked us in and gave us free map of Rome, drew on it where we should go depending on the length of our stay, gave us great tips. You will also get breakfast vouchers, as breakfast is always included, as well as 10% discount voucher for the Italian restaurant nearby.

Lilly is an amazing and wonderful hostess! Leo
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, they gave us a bettter bedroom for no extra cost and helped us to organize what we were going to see first and how to get to the turistic places and some nice tips about where to eat. I only missed a guest kitchen, but everything else was really good and I'm definitely will be back when I'm in Rome again
The rooms smelled funky and it just wasn't very fun. The heaters don't turn on until 5 so the room is freezing until 6ish. The owners were fairly rude and it just wasn't the best experience. Nothing was particularly awful, but nothing was good either. I would recommend finding a different hostel.
Great location great breakfast with barista coffee and pastries ! Very friendly and helpful staff and get your clothes cleaned while ur there! Newly renovated very clean
The location, security, and cleanliness of this hostel are good, however the beds are very uncomfortable and there is no hostel community culture. Also it is a little weird the the check in is in a laundromat.
Very helpful. Was given advice on what monuments to see when. Free computer use and access and very nice and clean rooms. Near the train station but about a half an hour walk to any tourist site.
A small improve to calefaction it would be better, but anyway I would highly recommend this hostel.
The stay was great, the manager and staff were helpful, organized, and efficient. The place is clean and nice to stay in.
Nice hostel, but a bit weird. There's no commom areas, just the rooms and a bathroom. Check in is made in an internet cafée nearby, and then the staff will lead you to your room across the street. The staff is very helpful, though. There's no lockers in the rooms, just a few small safety vaults. It would be a problem for someone who's traveling with lots of valuable stuff, but for me it was ok. The location is great: you can walk to the colosseum, or easily take the subway at a nearby station.
it was a good stay in Funny Palace, but there was no locker to put our backpacks. There was a safe-deposit box which I could let just our value itens.. They charged us €3,50 as a city tax por person per day.. It was very expansive in comparasion to other Hotel I stood.. I paid just 1€ as city tax for another italian hostel.

It was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking through the city. The staff was pleasant and offered great advice on how to best navigate the sites. They were also very helpful in securing transportation to the airport for a very early departure. I had a wonderful time! Thank you!

Great and helpful staff, close to Roma Termini, delicious breakfast in cafe and clean. Worth spending money there. Don't worry about laundry :D
This hostel was very friendly and very helpful. They gave us a great map and wonderful directions for how to get around the city. There were nice restaurants near the hostel and the free breakfast (croissant and cappuccino) at the local restaurant was delicious. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, I would highly recommend Funny Palace Hostel. We stayed in a double bed room and the bed was extremely comfortable. They also provided extra blankets. NOTE* free towels if requested.
The hostel is very well located, close to Termini train station and is only 10-15 minutes away downtown walking. The staff is very kind and helpful, they offered some advice about the public transport and must see places, where to go to eat and how to reach the airport, besides they gave us a free map of the city (they charge for them in any other city in Italy). The room and the bathroom were very clean, we got free towels and since we were traveling in group a key for each one of us.
