Location is great, staffs are helpful but in terms of cleanliness, there maybe some problems. I read reviews that other people wrote before I get there, so I didn't expect a lot. Same as those reviews, I saw bedbugs but only a few. The staffs I met was 2 women at a front desk and several men in the guesthouse. It wllked like those men are in charge of cleaning but I wonder why they don't hire middle aged women for cleaning since those women are generally better at cleaning.

would be better if the guests can book a taxi at the reception, for which we experienced at check out, hard to get a taxi in front of the hostel

Hostel was not very clean, but otherwise our stay was nice. Hostel staff did their job well and they were always really helpful and polite. Location was perfect and very close to everything.

Cold shower, bathrooms were not cleaned over 3 days we were there- hair in bottom of showers along with toothbrushes etc, shower was hand held so can't wash your hair, bed and pillow were hard, room was very small however was fine for short period of time. Staff were friendly, and lockers in rooms meant our items were safe. Breakfast was good (toast and instant coffee) seeing as it was free.

Good location, 2 minutes from MRT, and 3 minutes to Sightseeing bus(two of four lines). Privet double room is very small but price is good. Breakfast is ok. The biggest problem noise from outside and inside. No towel for free

The staff was pleasant enough however, didn't know anything about directions or addresses. Better off seeking reliable info elsewhere. Room I was in was extreamly small, so small had to use the upper bunk to put my bag. Couldn't close the door otherwise. That said is clean enough and very good location.

It was a pleasant stay if you just find a place to sleep only, because the location is very near to the Little India MRT stration & bus stop and its convenient to go anywhere. There's a lot of place to eat surround the hostel But since it in front of the Indian local cinema, there was a very annoying crowd around the hostel especially in the weekend, its very noisy until 3 am! overall, it was a good stay

A hostel that might have been good a couple of years ago. The hype is gone though. Rooms look like prison cells, nowhere to put your clothes, extremely small, and why the heck do the staff cook their dinner in the hallway? That is kind of disgusting. Breakfast, don't mention it. Toast with jelly. For the price we paid, and the amount of money they invested in making the hostel nice the last years (0$?) I would expect something better. Don't go here. Go someplace else. The Inncrowd was nice.

i arrived on the 14/09/11.i found the young lady at the front desk receptions very unhelpful, unpleasant,as a guest i have to greeted them first.both of the lady and the night shift stuff, only there to check on the internet.they felt so annoyance while i came to asked for help.valuable things and passport need to store in a safe place. safety boxes needed for hostel guest. management needed to train their staff professionally.

Excellent location just within walking distance to Little India MRT. Not really so much a hive of activity as people here are more to themselves having more privacy. Good and plenty of facilities - clean toilets and plenty of PCs for internet usage. Breakfast is ok and simple. The bad - got bitten by bedbugs, a bit too near the main road and you can hear the sound of the traffic whole night and morning.

Very good location, staff was ok. Rooms(double private)very small, bed was very hard, bathroom/toilet clean. A lot of black hairs on the bed + on the floor when we checked in. The stairs can be a problem if you travel with heavy luggage. All up if you are just after a bed for a couple of nights it's ok. The hostel is right next to the train station which makes it easy to get around.

Nice balcony in the 5th floor. Lot of stairs to my room but the staff helped to carry the luggage. Average breakfast just toast, coffee and milo (hot chocolate). Very clean showers and rooms. 6 bed dorm was small, good big lockers, no window but it was good because the room was very quiet. The aircondition was also good. There isa big construction going on next to hostel at the moment (August 2011). So after 9.00am it get's really loud!
