we had the private double room and it was more like an apartment than a hostel room, with private bath, kitchen, refrigerator and tv. we really enjoyed our stay a lot!

This hostel is simply a home away from home. I've stayed there for 4 nights in a deluxe double bed private room. The room really exceed my expectation, because it's actually a small apartment with 2 rooms, with it's own bathroom, terrace, kitchen, refrigerator, tv, and internet access. The city center is only 20 minutes walking from the hostel. Gabriel and Flavia are as nice as ever, they even took care of the mess we made when we missed the train to Sibiu. Definitely will stay there again!

The hostel owners are very friendly. They kep the hostel crean and very comfortable for guests. They have their home made liquor. It is outstanding. The locations is very good. Near to old town, and very quiet.

We had such a positive experience at Gabriel Hostel, I would 100% recommend it to friends. The owners are both incredibly friendly, and the hostel is spotlessly clean, so we felt at home. They helped us arrange a really nice tour of the city and the surrounding areas, and we were able to see and learn things we wouldn't have otherwise. Very helpful and always smiling. And by far the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at. A 10 minute walk from the city center. Great stay!

By far one of my best hostel experiences. Gabriel is helpful, full of information, and just plain wonderful!

This hostel is good located, very clean and most of all has really nice owners. The added value is also the fact that you can do different day-trips and tours with the Romenian owner. We can really recommend you this because it's a good way to get to know more about the culture and country. We are definitely visiting Gabriel Hostel again in the future!

Really lovely staff- friendly and helpful. I was given many interesting recommendations for sightseeing in Brasov and in the areas nearby. The hostel is neat and clean. I would really recommend to stay there!

Amazing hostel. Gabriel and Flavia bend over backwards to help travelers with anything. Gabriel even took my friend and I on a castle tour himself. They could not have been more accommodating to our every request. I have scarcely met a harder working couple anywhere, all their time and dedication truly shows in the cleanliness of the hostel and the modernization. A 15 minute walk from the main center of Brasov, their gates are always locked and they are highly security conscious. Great place.

The staff was very friendly en gave a lot of good recommendations. We stayed in a lovely privat room for 2 persons. The next time when we go to Brasov, we definitely go back to Gabriel! Edwin & Willeke the Netherlands

I loved this hostel. The hosts were very friendly and very helpful. As soon as i arrived, i was offered some home-brewed local drink. I was given a very detailed map, and shown pictures of all the sights in the area that i could see. Furthermore, the hosts organised a personalised tour of Peles Castle, Bran Castle and the Rasnov Fortress, for a very cheap price. The rooms were extremely clean, spacious, and there were working electrical plugs at each bunk! I would definitely stay here again!

We really loved that hostel! The double rooms were very nice and clean. The location is good, too. About 15 mins walk from the centre. And there are also buses stopping right in front of the door. The most important thing, though, was that Flavia and Gabriel were welcoming and extremely helpful. They helped us organise our onward journey to the danube delta and even found us an accomodation in bucarest. Again, thank you very much!!!

The room we had was ok, on the old side, so it was not as comfortable. However, the owner was very helpful and we appreciated this. We would stay here again.

Brand new bathrooms, beds and linen. Beautifully presented and still more renovations to come. When the kitchen and outdoor bbq area are completed this will be a fabulous hostel! Hosts Flavia and Gabriel are fantastic. An easy bus ride from the station. A 15 min walk back to the old centre. Casa romaneasca nearby was a good choice for dinner.

The place is nice, clean and quiet. I was the only guest in my room, no lockers. The hosts were friendly, but they came "in" my room at 8.30 am asking if I was going to stay for another night (a bit pushy?). Internet didn't work or was very slow. NOTE: I would NOT suggest single female traveler their day trip with Gabriel. He literally squeezed my upper arm and tried to hold my hand (or grab,whatever). Hey, I sat in front cuz I tried to be friendly. Back off!
