Gagagu is what I would call an experience, I would not reccomend it for anyone who is majorly high strung on their hygiene as the closest toilets are long drop (they smell real bad) but there are proper flushing toilets about a 10 min walk away which is a pain sometimes. The canoeing trip is okay, gets a bit tiring and rather tedious as you have to make sure all the different groups stick together and you get some right idiots. The atmosphere of the camp however is really good, give it a go !

its a camp, in the bush. don't expect it to be much else for $15 dollars. some of the people there while we were expected a lot more and were dissapointed but if you want to get off the backpacker trek and do something different then it's a pretty cool place. watch out for jimbo, the camp's alcoholic who yells at you if you're noisy past midnight

its far from town, arrive during the day if you are driving yourself.there's a grumpy old man at the front but the other guy is pretty nice. i had a parcel arrive and they kept it for me until i could come back which i thought was very nice.you might find it a surprise to see that the bed are canvas bunk beds with camping mats but they are relitively comfortable once you are in them! you can go canoeing down the river for a very affordable price and there is a resevoir where a lot of people swim

It's literally in the bushes so don't expect too much. Good kitchen and BBQ, open campfire and volleyball field. If you like outdoors it's a good place to go!

This place provides an awesome experience, cheaper than any hostel and something a bit different to a run of the mill hostel. Obviously there are lots of bugs and the toilets reek (it is a longdrop - to be expected) but there are other other nicer toilets just a five minute walk away. Really nice to go swimming in the quarry pool and laying by the river bank. People really nice and good community spirit.
