galinas description is very honest. it's just a old flat, in which she rent out two rooms. but the flat is clean, there is wifi, you can use the kitchen. so it's everything there, you need. and galina helps you, when you have a question ir problems. if you want to look in a really russian old flat, galinas flat is a really good chance for a good price!
The accommodations are quite acceptable, but what makes the place special is Galina herself. She goes all out to help you with any problems you may have. The place is well located, in walking distance from Red Square.and quite close to a Metro station

If you need a place to sleep in Moscow at the end of a long and exciting day, this is the place. This is not a hostel but a flat that a woman rents out to tourists. Not the best place to stay during the day but enough just to sleep. Looks a bit like a flat from the 70´s!
I have stayed in hostels throughout Europe and Galina's flat is the best. It's homely, brilliantly located, and Galina is friendly and a great host. I won't consider staying anywhere else next time I'm in Moscow. Would highly recommend. Thomas, Scotland
Once you accept that you will be staying at a kind woman's Soviet-era flat, you'll very much enjoy your stay. This isn't a five-star hotel, but it is perfectly comfortable, very genial, and a great price and location. Also, if you're a cat-lover, her cats are awesome!
A liking of cats really helps if you stay here as three friendly cats could be your room mates for part of your stay! It was part of my russian experience to stay here as you get to sample what an old fashioned style russian flat must have been like. Facilities hence basic. There is a kitchen but personally I wouldn't choose to use it as it could have done with a clean/spruce up when I was there. Galina is a very welcoming and helpful host which is a big plus.
If you're looking for a very genuine, warm and authentic place to stay in Moscow, it's got to be Galina's. It's less like your traditional hostel and more like staying at the apartment of a very popular friend of your aunts. Galina is warm and welcoming. Some of the facilities are are little outdated - the bathroom is a bit small and there bathtub doubles as a sink. But the wifi is great, so I have no complaints. A small warning: it's on the fifth floor and you have to take the stairs.
Gali`s a great woman. Excellent place to hang out that lacks the professionalism of a true hostel (with the accompanying benefits and annoyances). Id say its definitely a go if you're looking for a russian moscow experience, a no go for people keen on hygiene
Don't let you scare off too easily by the comments about the cleanliness. Galina's flat doesn't offer the 'grand luxe', but is cleaned very frequently. Highly recommended if you really want to get to know Moscow and even some fellow travellers!

I loved staying here. Galina is really kind and helpful. The flat is about 30 minutes walk from red square and is small and homely. However I can't rate it too highly as it isn't very clean, but next time I'm in Moscow I will no doubt stay with Galina again.
Beside the sowiet style of the flat - which is in fact an experience - we didn't like our stay here. Flat Owner Galina wasn't really a hospitable person. I missed some nice chattings and secret hints, what to do in Moscow. And it was the first time we had to put linen (which were even too short) on the bed by ourselfs in a hostel. No problem with cats, but the whole stairway were smelling and the cats didn't look healthy at all. Seems like the owner got bored of having guests since a while.
We only stayed for one night, but it´s a really nice place, with very freindly staff. The flat is located really near to the city centre. So all in all, a really nice place to stay when you are visting Moscow and dont need the comfort of an hotel.
It is actually flat of a woman. She speaks English very well and she is helpful if needed. Price reflects on cleanliness or security. Cats are very nice there but it could be a problem if you got an allergy. Flat is soviet union style and it was a nice experience to be there.
Galina's flat, it's a flat on the higher floor, no lift, in Soviet era style. Do not expect much but Galina's it's wounderfull and very helpfull. Don't forget the key of the flat. So you are indipendent . Xxxx
Ok for one night! The cats are lovely but make breathing a little difficult. The kitchen facilities are on the poor side and don't invite one to cook for themselves. Atmosphere is dependant on other guests, during our stay it was quiet to the point of feeling weird. Otherwise the price and the location is fine and all respect to Galina herself!
Mrs. Galina is a lovely and kind lady. She is always willing to help. The flat is clean, it´s a great accomodation for the tired trtaveler. I will return to her flat nex time I travel to Moscow. Thank you Mrs. Galina

Galina was amazingly helpful and very kind. As long as you're ready to stay in a place with a lot of cats, you'll love it there!
Galina's was a true stay at home - experience; comfortable, cosy, enjoyable and easy. Galina herself was very helpfull and everything worked well. If you are looking for a genuine russian home, this is your place! We defintely recommend it.
