one of the bed broke and there was no heat. i complained to maria the reception and she said nothing can be done.

When I booked the hostel, I was asked and indicated as to when I expect to arrive. So it was a disappointment when I found there was no staff to open the door for me upon my arrival at 8am. I was left standing outside the hostel for quite a while. The hostel itself was very clean and the Dupont Circle area was pretty. The six male dorm which I stayed in sits above Florida Avenue and can be pretty noisy even at night.

Great Hostel.. stayed there for one week and it was just perfect. Bagels for breakfast, coffee/tea. Only downside, it could use a communal bathroom, sometimes 6 girls getting ready in the morning creates issues- but nothing serious, just make sure your the one up early!!

I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!It is very clean and the stuff is friendly and helpful in every way possible!. I spent few days there and I had the feeling to stay in a hotel. Rooms are really clean and the bathroom is private to the dorm and you have clean towels every days. Shampoo,conditioner,shower gel and hair dryer were provided. You have a free breakfast in the morning. Also the location is pretty close to a city centre as well ( metro about 10 mins walk away). It is a great hostel!!!

The location is great. 10 mins walk to metro and there are a lot of good restaurants and bars and bookshops in dupont circle. I think it is one of the best residential areas in dc! But the wifi here i think is kind of poor. Our room was on the second floor and we barely received signals.

Tim was a wonderful property manager! Friendly and helpful in every way possible! Knew who we were when we walked in. Already recommending Gallery Inn Hotel to friends. Breakfast was mini bagels and toast. Will definitely stay here again!

Great hostel. I spent 2 nights there and I had the feeling to stay in a hotel. Rooms are really clean, we are only 4 by dorms. The bathroom is private to the dorm and you have clean towels every days. You have a free breakfast in the morning. The only negative point is that you have no kitchen to cook, only a microwave.

Incredible location, beautiful rooms and comfortable beds, this was really really great value for money, I would stay here again in a heart beat.

It was a really clean and nice place. Although there wasnt really a kitchen to cook anything the breakfast in the morning was good.

Much better than a hotel

I definetely recomend it. It is very clean and the stuff is nice. Also the location is pretty close to a city centre as well.

I really appreciate how clean the facilities were but it smelled a little too strongly of cleaning chemicals. Otherwise, my stay was pleasant and I will be back. Thanks!

very good location, clean, but too expensive

The Gallery Inn Hotel was great. The rooms were really clean and we got room service including new towels every day. The selection for breakfast was limited, but sufficient. If you need a broader selection you may use any of the nearby restaurants, coffee places, or shops. The location is good, the metro about 10 mins walk away. Only, when we arrived the room was pretty cold (ok, there was snow the day before). But using the air condition we could heat the room.

I had a reservation beforehand but when I arrived because a group had booked the whole female dorm I was directed to go down the street to another property, where I had to haul my bag up 3 flights of stairs. This was inconvenient. They should have warned me about it ahead of time. They didn't know what would happen the next day and I wound up staying there 2 days before coming back to the room I booked. The desk person was quite apologetic. otherwise ok. But 24-hr service not really true.

Gallery Inn is highly recommended. The two bed room had plenty of space and the beds were most comfortable. The position is excellent – within easy walk of Metro subway. Very clean (Yea!) room and en suite. The staff were very friendly and obliging. We are very fussy women and were very happy with this place.

Very clean and quiet. It was quite comfortable to stay there. The location is 5 blocks away from Dupon Circle.
