Very clean and quiet. It was quite comfortable to stay there. The location is 5 blocks away from Dupon Circle.

Excellent hostel ! Le staff is very nice and the rooms are very very clean. I recommand it for sure!

When I came to the hostel on Sat. 8th Oct. 2011 as reserved no room was available for me. Therefore I had to find another accomodation. This was very annoying and expensive too! I am not willing to pay either the deposit of EUR 73,78 nor the Service Charge of EUR 1,50 EUR and request you to transfer the total amount of EUR 75,28 back on my credit-card account.

We are two girls from France and stayed in Washington DC for 3 days. We stayed in a female dorm for 6 with an ensuite bathroom and it was GREAT!!! there is a lot of space, it is clean and tidy. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were provided, oh and a iraon board and a hair dryer!! very good for a youth hostel!! I recommend it !! and the staff was lovely and very welcoming. will definitely come back to this place :)))

The place was wonderful, it was like I was staying at really nice hotel, we had a double bed and one single. It was a small room, but super clean and we got a bagel breakfast each morning. All it took was a quick walk and we were at the train station and two stops from the National Mall. The staff were also lovely.

The female dorm at the Gallery Inn was a great place to stay during my trip to DC. The room was very clean, the linens and attached bathroom were cleaned everyday and there was even a couch and TV in the room! While some might miss the more social aspect of larger hostels, I found it to be perfect. After a long day of sightseeing, coming back to a clean, quiet environment was just what I wanted. Close to shops, restaurants and reasonable walking distance to the sights. Highly recommended!

I stayed there for 5 nights, it was a perfect location (dupont circle being the closest hotspot), the metro closeby. I had a 4-bed dorm, neat room with kitchen and a fridge. Irritants were that the bathroom door wouldnt close, people in other rooms played loud music one night, all night. That apart i would stay here again for sure.

we were in a 6 beds female dorm. it's veeeeeery clean and well-appointed. and close to the dupon circle metro. also so cheap that i strongly recommend it. will definitely choose it if i will go to washington again.

This hostel (more like a hotel) was amazing. The room was massive! Ensuite in the room, couch, plasma TV with Cable. Breakfast was free, toast and coffee. This place was clean, and our beds were made every day. The owner is lovely. We had our laundry done here, for $7 and brough back the next day, it was perfect - no need to sit around and waste the day in a laudromat. Would definitely stay here again!!

I came to take care of some paperwork for a visa. The man that works during the day knew about the country where I'm going, and was very helpful. The others in my dorm were great to talk and go out with- and the neighborhood is excellent for it! The area is very safe. The only security downside is that there are no lockers in the hostel. I recommend Gallery Inn.

The hostel was very clean and presented very well - the staff were excellent and went above and beyond in sorting out my problems, which were not with the hostel but with the behaviour of other guests. The hostel was in a great location, and I couldn't praise the manager and his team enough. Thanks!

Small hotel, very nice, good location, nice room. Could use a little more space for breakfast and a bit more exiting and healthy breakfast. Bikes to rent nearby and a subway stop a 10 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants, shops, and cafés nearby.

this place was awesome. was more like a hotel than a hostel, and for $40 a night you cant go wrong! well worth it!! the beds were made and changed every day, the rooms were well air-conditioned, room was always clean, beds were mega confortable, great location near alot of bars and resurants and the hop on hop off tour bus stops just down the road. Excellent place and would definately suggest this for anyone to stay at!!!!!

I booked three beds but i was only given two queen sized beds during my stay, I was just wondering if this was standard practice

Staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful. The cleaner couldn't even speak proper English. When we arrived we were moved to another building without prior warning and it stank. In all fairness the bedrooms were clean and it was pretty secure. The location was excellent as it was in the middle of everything.

The girls dorm is very dark; there is only two light bulbs in the entire room, and one of them is not working. The TV channel selection could improve. Other than that, the place is super clean and the beds are very comfortable. Though it is quite a walk to Dupont Circle. No kitchen and no storage space anywhere.

The kitchen was not really a kitchen. Not clean and not at all equipped. The location is brillant. Walking ditance to White House and to the party district.

I stayed at Gallery Inn for 4 nights and I must admit, it exceeded my expectations. The rooms are very comfortable, it's at a great location and the staff is super friendly. I only had three little problems. On my first night, I hand washed a pair of underwear, left it hanging in the bathroom to dry and forgot to take it down when I got out in the morning. When I got back to the hotel I realized it was gone; my last body towel was stained; the other guests were disrespectfully loud late at night
