A great place to stay in Bilbao, really friendly staff and fab location. The 4 bed dorms are pretty tiny, but the hostel is clean, there are plenty of places to sit and meet others.

The weather wasn't so nice so I stayed in one afternoon. It was great had a dvd collection and a vending machine, so sat upstairs on the sofa but on a movie in english with some snacks. It was so chilled and relaxed. Everything was clean and modern. One problem was plug sockets, two in the bedroom but neither one worked only one in the bathroom.

Nice hostel, but had some concerns about security. The hostel leaves their front door locked (they don't give guests the key). I came back after a few drinks around midnight. The street was pretty dark at night, and since the door was locked, I had to wait outside more than 5 minutes, alone, for someone to open the door for me. I didn't feel comfortable, being a lone female in an area I don't know well at night. Also, the people staying there weren't altogether too social.

Nice, pleasant hotel. Good atmosphere if you travel within groups-can be lonely travelling by yourself to this hostel as there isn't a 'meet new people' atmosphere. Good breakfast in the morning. Easy to get to and based in a good location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent and had good security. They provide you with a padlock for your locker as well.

Staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The hostel itself was clean and quiet despite it's fantastic location just above the 'old town'. I would definitely stay there again.

My friends and I had the most wonderful stay at Ganbara Hostel. The staff went over-and-above and was incredibly friendly. The common rooms are comfortable and it was easy to meet fellow travelers. Breakfast was wonderful and we definitely appreciated the 24-hour tea service. I would recommend Ganbara to anyone.

It was nice because out of all the hostels in Bilbao this was only reasonable one. Our bathroom floor was a little suspicious, glad I had my house slippers. It was good for the price and the people working there were nice if you needed something, but they didnt go out of their way to have a conversation with you or give a recommendation on what to see.

Our room didn't look like it had been cleaned (which we thought was due to the lack of women working there) and there was only 1 bathroom per floor, so sometimes we had to wait to use it. The breakfast was great, and we loved that there was free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate 24/7.

Friendly, helpful staff, good location within the old town of Bilbao, clean rooms and interior rather dark, lack of character, good and included breakfast, especially for cornflakes-lovers!

Very new, clean hostel. Lots of common areas to hang out in and activities to do. Staff were friendly, breakfast was great and there was also communal food throughout the day. Good internet.
