You can't go wrong: Ganbara is a great hostel in all senses: right at the heart of Bilbo, well run by friendly staff, clean, well organized, fairly spacious rooms, many toilets and showers, good kitchen with common area... and quite good value for money!

Most definately one of the top hostels I've ever stayed in, and I've done a few!! Very modern, squeaky clean, fast internet, breakfast, kitchen facilities... AND QUIET at night, despite being 3 mins walk from the main bar areas. Staff were top.

A new hostel with a nice common area with tvs, computers (also free wifi), kitchen and eating room where they sirve you breakfast with toasts, cereals, milk, cofee and juices. It's located in the city center and about a 25-30 minutes walk away from the Guggenhein Museum. Rooms are also good, the only bad point is the garbage can was completely full, what means that it wasn't cleaned for a while.

I had to check-out very early due to an early bus out of Bilbao, and the hostel was very kind to provide breakfast and contact a cab to take to the station. Great staff and facilities! One suggestion would be to add some hooks or shelves in the shower area, so that guests have somewhere to put their towels, etc. The location is right in the heart of Casco Viejo, a bit or a trek uproad on Calle Prim, though. Overall, very good and I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Bilbao!
