Fantastic place in the centre of a marvellous city. I enjoyed very much the hospitality of the staff and would go there again!

Well located for the old town and well equipped. Unfortunately one of the nights I was there was very noisy and staff didn't have any interest in trying to get people to be quiet.

Nice, clean, good location close to old town and metro station. Nice staff, good breakfast. The 4 bed dorm is much too small though, especially when fully booked, you barely have space to move around. Also the bunk beds are a bit short and too low, I had the lower one and could not sit straight on it.

Our stay at the hostal was great, the staff was the best part of it, they are always willing to help and they are extremely nice. The atmosphere was also really good and we got to know a lot of interesting people. The hostal has all of the facilities and it is very clean.

The hostal is located on the Casco Viejo area, which has an amazing night life. You are a few blocks away from delicious tapa places, wine, etc. The Hostal itself was very clean, with a nice kitechen and common areas. One problem was not enough bathrooms though. The staff was amazing! I had to leave the hostal very early in the morning, and the guy there was nice enough to give breakfast way before breakfast time.

The overall experience was fine. It was a comfortable place to spend time and make friends. My only compliant is that it was far more of a party hostel than advertised. They had signs up that enforced silence at midnight, but the staff let everyone participate in loud drinking games until 2 am every night. Not saying that's not fun- just not fun in a travel scenario. My first night I had a very early flights in and out- and it sorta ruined my ability to be functional while I was there and after.

Really great hostel! You have everything you need here. Excellent location and nearby the metro. The only "negative" thing is that the staff just speaks a little bit english. Otherwise is everything perfect!

Went to Bilbao for the weekend (to see Athletic find their form again!) and the hostel served its purpose really well. It's 2 minutes' walk from the old town of Bilbao which is where I spent 90% of my time, has two common areas, and was really clean too. Would definitely recommend it to any pals of mine heading to the city.

Had a blast in Bilbao! The hostel was very clean and in a very good location. It has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. Getting your own individual locker without extra charge was awesome and it was a decent size (carry on bag can fit in). The only downfalls would be that the light for the one shower did not work so it was an awkward cleansing process, the guitar only had 3 strings on it, and the night staff seemed to have some issues with privacy.

Staff was good enough to prepare the breakfast earlier for us since we're leaving early in the morning. The only thing was that i was staying at the ground floor and i can constantly hear ppl chit chatting loudly at the common room.

I wish the hostel had some sort of activities for the guests, particularly so those who were traveling alone could meet each other. Otherwise, it was a good experience at Ganbara.

Its a great place to be in to explore Bilbao and see the old town, which is beautiful! The Gug is only 15 to 29 minutes walking distance.
