Ginger ice cream is awesome. Solar lights along the path would be helpful. One day you will need to put a big pool in, it would be awesome lying around that. Stay in the main house, closer to bathroom, also water pressure is better.

So glad that I chose to spend my time in Kampot at Ganesha. It's location and laid back vibe were perfect for a getaway. Emmanuel, Stephanie and the rest of the staff were very warm, accommodating and friendly. Everyone made us feel at home and tried their best to meet our requests. Food was amazing, also loved the nightly hang out sessions at the bar/recep/dining area with other guests and Ganesha staff. Thank you for the wonderful experience and I cannot wait to come back!

We had an awesome stay with you guys, cannot really fault any part our experience at Ganesha. Maybe give the bikes a bit of love? Anyway keep up the great work, we love what you are doing and we think you are a very positive force in the wider community there. Josh and Josie

We spent two nights at Ganesha and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything about this place is fantastic. It's just a bit of the beaten track and a bit different - just what we needed. Also the ice-cream was great. Thanks guys for a great time :)

We had an amazing time at Ganesha! We ended up staying 4 days instead of 2. The location was absolutely stunning and the owners are a wonderful French couple. It is rare to hug your hosts goodbye but you will at Ganesha! The breakfast is also delicious. It has been our favorite spot in Cambodia!

We loved this place!! I'd recommend it to anyone. We had a hut right by the river, beautiful view to wake up to. And you can use their canoe to explore the river. Food is amazing, and the French couple who own it are so helpful. I'd definitely stay here again!

The hostel stay was amazing. I will be recommending it to all of my friends. The staff and owners make you feel very welcome (even when you don't deserve it!), the food was fantastic, the view over the river was great and it was generally just a really relaxing place to be.

It was a wonderful place to stay, especially as one of our group was unwell. Stephanie, the owner was very helpful and caring. We needed to bring our own laptops as there was no computer available. A wonderful setting. Very memorable.

A very special place, set by the river, surrounded by rice paddies with the hills in the distance. Fabulous range of rooms from yurts to pole houses. Stephanie was incredibly warm, welcoming, friendly and caring, Emmanuel less so. One issue was the amount of smoking in the eating area - but that's because I come from a country where it is banned in public places. However serving food and talking with a cigarette hanging out of one's mouth is really a no no anywhere! Mouse/gecko droppings on bed.

Location seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but there is a mix of different noises which make it impossible to sleep. The river transmits a kind of karaoke music from the town, and not far away are two mosques and the priests starts calling the prayers around 4 am. Frogs, birds and other animals complete the concert... Outside stairs, some of them very high, leads to this Khmer houses, not very comfortable when you have to go to toilet which are all on the ground outside of the bungalows...

Well, what can I say... The Muslims do the prayer call at 5:30 am, the Buddhist usually like to drum around the same time and the Catholics ring the bells at 6:00 am... Just like anywhere else in the world.... And for the sounds of Nature, well, we are an eco resort and try to keep the place as natural as possible. I did go around and told the frogs and other night animals to lower the volume after 10 pm but they are not listening to me ;(

The accommodation is very secluded, peaceful and basic. A fantastic retreat after the noise of Phnom Penh. We stayed in a hut on stilts; lovely but found it noisy at night with music from the village and call to prayer early in the morning - take earplugs! Food menu is extensive and the food exceptionally good. Lovely friendly couple who own and run the place. My one 'constructive criticism' is perhaps hold off on the loud reggae first thing in the morning...kind of ruins the vibe.

Thanks a lot for your nice review. Sorry for the loud morning reggae... we have been switching to more chill/ambiant tunes following your advice. Please, next time just tell us you would like the music lower, we definitely would have lower it if we knew it was bothering you.

If you wanne treat your travelling soul, Ganesha is the place for you. I booked a single room in the main house but showed up with 2 more people which I met on the bus. Upon arrival i have been greeted warmly with "we have been waiting for you, annika" - we managed to get everybody in although they have been booked out. if you are into dub, reggae and related music this is your place. it is truely relaxing and very clean - also very safe. recommendable for young at hearts.
