We arrived and were met by one of the bar staff from the rooftop although pleasant, he really didn't know much about the hotel but showed us to our room as no one else was around to greet us. When getting to the room, the place was filthy, especially the shower, which had mud in the bottom, along with used cotton buds.. The sheets were also dirty. The wifi didn't work. We asked to see another room but this also was filthy and had ants in the bed so we left and found another guest house.
No response to my contact trying to arrange pickup (as stated included), dirty bathrooms and had to ask several times for basic amenities, we booked several days in advance and included our time of arrival (7am) but were made to wait for over an hour for the manager to arrive, AC is stated on general facilities as included and no mention of it not being included in basic room, were told we'd have to pay more at 7pm at night, which we grudgingly agreed to, then stopped working in the night.

We were initially shown the view and rooftop restaurant by the manager on arrival, which was nice. We then never saw another person (staff or guests) until check out. The neighbour was conducting building work next to the guesthouse from 10pm to 5am each night. Rooms are in terrible condition. Price was far too much for the off season and facilities. No hot water. Stay a few doors down for half the price.
We stayed at Ganpati guesthouse for 2 nights, and I think we were the only ones there. It was the beginning of low season, so I think that is why. Other than that, this was a great guesthouse, very clean and quiet (though that might be because of the construction work on the street below, reducing traffic noise), and all-round a nice place to stay. The staff were friendly, though being low season, there was no restaurant. It's very close to the clock-tower (5minute walk), fort steps (10min walk)
The room was very spacious and clean. There was hot water and a very nice bathroom. The family that runs it is great and very helpful. The rooftop restaurant for breakfast was excellent and they have good espresso! They were very helpful with directions and things to do. It's only a 10 minute walk to the fort and in an area with lots of restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend this guesthouse!
The rooms were really nice looking, but very dirty. There was even a mouse in the bathroom. The roof top is legendary, the staff okay and the rooms have small balconies with a beautiful view. Toilet flushs don't work very well. But Location is awesome.
50% of the time "Wifi included" in India means it's accessible in the lobby but not in the rooms. Also, while there was a lot good about Ganpati, I can't get over the cleanliness issues. There was a huge bird nest in the bathroom window between the outer concrete lattice and the inner screen. Feathers were stuck to the wall right where I showered. The sheets looked like they hadn't been changed. There was hair all over the bed and pillows and all over the floor and wedged under furniture feet.
We were so happy with the hostel we ended up staying an extra 4 nights, staff were so friendly and made our stay more enjoyable the internet was down but we were able to use the other guest house.
Just an average hostel. You get what an average hostel offers. The staff at the rooftop restaurant are friendly but a bit slow. Location is good but in old city it CAN be noisy.
Good location, they organise pickup from the station if you request it in advance. Our room was big and clean and had amazing views over Merhangarh Fort. We had a late train and they let us stay in the room until 10pm for half the price. The food on the rooftop is okay but takes time.
The Manager is good, gave clear introduction and good advice on what to do and to see. The view of the rooftop is really great and we loved the sunset. BUT: The boy, who is running the restaurant (Cook), doesn’t understand that people just want some rest. (Not on purpose, but he keeps constantly talking to you, really annoying). On top of this, my girlfriend and I both became sick of some bad food of that restaurant. Could be a incident, but it ruined our days in Jodhpur...
A good guesthouse with very clean rooms incl. hot water and in a good location. Maybe not as much character as other guesthouses in town and the family who lives in the hostel was a little loud till late at night.
Great spot and a awesome roof-top too have breakfeast at. The staff is not so good at english and it is difficult to communicate sometimes. Extra plus for the sightseeing they arranged for us to see all the things you have to see in Jodphur for just 600 rupee!
Very good hostel. It´s a house ambient. And you can go by wolk to the pink city.
Surly staff; railway pickup was arranged but didnt occur, and room hadnt been cleaned before our arrival late in the day. good location with nice view of fort, and close to bustling bazaar of clocktower.
In line with price and services. Staff available for any assistence
