A bit far away from things for me but v close to tube station. No real bathroom just 1 sink in the hallway & shower over the toilet.

Good location near a metro station which makes getting around easy. The free breakfast is nice as is the all day free tea/coffee. Good Wi-Fi too and really friendly and helpful staff. However, the 4 bed dorm, although the most expensive, is also the most cramped room and the toilet/shower facilities aren't really enough for the number of people staying.

Staff were fantastic. Only suggestion would be that more toilets (with or without showers)would be useful.

I expected much more of this hostel ! The only shared space was very small and poor, not nice to meet other travelers. The room was quite small and it was difficult and a bit dangerous to go on the very high top-bed. Only one bathroom and toilet for the floor and not very clean...

Not, apparently, the kind of place where you try to talk to other guests. But, staff were friendly and helpful. Do more research than me and come from the right end of the street. Boon Keng metro station is just around the corner, but you'll have to go into the city, change, and come out if you are coming from the airport. Just don't walk the length of Lavender St like me.

Incredible staff absolutely helpful. Good rooms and common area with free snacks and tea coffee. Also they have a iMac computer for use! The only problem I think it's a quiet far of the center but maybe all hostels are...

Overall, we had a good stay at Gap Year hostel. We liked the staff, how they served free coffee and tea all day, and the computer facilities (there was a Mac and a PC at our disposal in the common area). We rated the value as "poor" because this hostel was as expensive as many hotels in Asia. That said, Singapore is By far the most expensive city we've visited so I'd imagine the rates were reflective of high rent. I would have had a better stay if the bathroom facilities were cleaned more often

Everything was excellent. The owners were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and more than ample. It was everything you could ask for in a hostel.

staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Good location and convenient to everywhere. And the hostel provided us an individual lamp that we can do some reading at nigh or came back late without disturbing other people. However, the bed maybe is made by iron so quite noisy when moving at night. I don't like the washroom and open area as it wasn't clean enough for myself.

Nice, brand new place though two toilets/bathrooms guarantee you a bit of a wait in the mornings. Staff is helpful with directions and advice re: what to see in town. Would definitely stay there again.

The 4 bed dorm on the ground level is very small. The owners are very nice and friendly. WiFi is decent. The only issue we had, was that there are only two toilets/showers rooms on the ground floor for the many guests. In the morning you may end up having to wait for a while to use a toilet. Close to 3 MRT stations (400m - 1000m). Prices are high, but this is Singapore, and accommodation is always expensive. 3 minute walk to Lavender Food Centre for cheap tasty food.
