Me and a friend unfortunatley just spent pne night there but afterwards we wished it would have been longer! The atmosphere was great and I can not think of anything negative! All in all I must say it was one of the best hostels I visited so far!!

The place is beautiful (big rooms, wooden floors), but very noisy because of the huge staircase that amplifies the voices of the guests talking outside their rooms. The location is in the middle of the shops and stores, hence not very quiet either, but close to every facilities of the city. So if you want to be in the middle of things, go there. If you want a quiet stay, avoid it

The location, the staff, facilities are amazing and most of all the hostel is the most beautiful one, I enjoyed staying there a lot! Definitely the best one in Porto, maybe in whole Portugal :)

From the moment we arrived at the hostel we were made to feel extremely welcome and at home. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. They gave us lots of suggestions for things to do and see, and places to eat traditional Portuguese food too! The building itself is fantastic to stay in, it feels like you're staying in a fancy hotel and not a hostel:) There was a lovely atmosphere the whole time we were there. I really loved staying there, I would definitely stay there again!

This was a really nice hostel. I stayed in the twin room. The room was clean upon arrival. The shared bathroom had plenty of stalls and showers and also stayed clean throughout the stay. The staff members were very friendly. I loved the free walking tour and the same guy who led the tour led a bar crawl at night, which was also very fun. You pay 10 euro and go to 2 bars and a dance club (if i remember correctly) with a bunch of young people and get 3 or 4 drinks included. It's a great time.

This was my favorite hostel we have stayed at out of hostels in 6 other countries! There was a ton of character in the building, the common room and kitchen were both quaint and welcoming, the staff was an extremely helpful resource, we felt comfortable as if it really were our home, the bathrooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable! If I could, I would tell everyone going to Porto to stay at Garden House!

This hostel is really outstanding! Location is excellent, but especially the stylish interior is amazing. Very friendly staff, more than excellent facilities. Hostel of the year? Yes!

Garden House was in the perfect location, right on the main shopping street and close to everything. The staff is incredible- they helped us with all of our questions and even let us check in early so we could freshen up. The hostel itself is beautiful and always clean. With free wifi and a large kitchen, this hostel has it all. I would definitely stay at Garden House again.

This was honestly the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at! The staff greeted us and took the time to learn our names, even though we were only there for a few days. They were so sweet and helped us figure our way around Porto. The location is great-- right on the main shopping street and within five minutes of two malls. With the help of the staff, we were able to see the beach and go on a free walking tour. This was a great experienceI and I'd definitely recommend this hostel!

They were under construction, which for some that would be a nuisance but to me it demonstrated that they are continuing to grow and move into the future.

The hostel is at a great location, and it is a beautiful building. The only issue would be that you could hear everything and everyone outside of the room, which meant it was quite hard to sleep. But other than that, a great stay!
