I liked the great vibes at the lounge floor and the nice people. Water was run out on my second day and third day (until I left) in the building I stayed, but there was no information in the toilet or shower rooms.

Excellent place. Very helpful English speaking staff. Nice common area. Close to the main areas of the ancient town without being in a loud area. Highly recommended.

garden Inn is a hostel that I would highly recommend, staffs are helpful. location is not in central lijiang old town where it is very quiet at night. If you prefer a quiet place, garden Inn is definitely your choice. even if you had checked out, you can still stay in that hostel for a evening (of coz not in the room) if you have night train or night flight. rooms are clean and tidy and the most important is that I can book garden Inn through hostelworld.

Great place to visit. seems a little sketchy at first but the location is on the main road. its only a short 10 minute walk to the old city which is nicer than being in the middle of it all. the girls who run it are super nice and helpful. they book everything for you and answer all your questions!

Very helpful friendly staff, very central to Lijiang old town, good breakfasts, and they arranged to pick us up at the airport at 1am. I'd recommend this place.

The location was perfect. It was on one of the most beautiful streets with the best shopping . It was very safe and people were friendly. Really liked this hostel, I would recommend it to others.

Small guesthouse, decent sized rooms. Property could be generally cleaner, facilities are nothing to get excited about; small communal area, useless pool table, slightly smell toilets which often lacked toilet paper. Location is good however; just on the edge of the old city, so easy to get into town but quiet at night. Doors lock early, so don't expect to be able to get back in if you go out for late night drinks!

The lady is very helpful, she could advise me in everything I wanted to know,and always gave me the best direction and at the bargained price. She is amazing.

Really relaxing place. Staying in the small garden and watch the sunset cloud is really a fabulous experience

I had a great stay, the staff were very helpful with everything. I arrived after 1 am and the young lady stayed up to come meet me at the road as cabs can not drive into the Old Town. Rooms are clean, water was hot, breakfast was good, and the staff are happy to help you with any questions you have. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend it. One note, it is better to get off at the first Airport Bus stop, not the last as indicated in the directions.

Overall this hostel is a good pick and excellent value for money.

While it may not be quite as slick as some of the other hostels in Lijiang, it has lots going for it. A lovely garden courtyard; very friendly, helpful staff and a good location in a very quiet part of the old town.

Good location, away from the crowds but only seconds walking from centre of old town. A little hard to find. This is a quieter hostel and you won't find party animals here. The rooms are clean and you have nice selection of three western toilets! Everybody seems to just use one shower though. The hostel can book you a bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge. The best thing about this place is definitely the older women who work there, so friendly and they keep the place in shape. Helpful to the last!

The daily room service did not clean the bathroom or make up the beds. Dunno if it has to be expected but in other places with cheaper prices it was properly done.
