We had a wonderful, kind of meditative stay there in an authentic jungle house/bungalow. We were utmost warmly welcomed, the owners of the place and all the others as well were so friendly that we would have liked to stay longer than one single night. Will surely get back one day! The food, as everything, was excellent.

Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Carla is a very attentive host and her enthousiasm is reflected in the performance of the rest of the staff. We will never forget the great food, after 3 nights enjoying Uncle's cooking skills we were spoilt for the rest of our journey..... Great place, worth staying more than 1/2 nights that most travellers do for one day Yala.

We loved this place - Munasingha, and all the family made us feel really at home. Uncle's cooking is just mind-blowing. As I said to Munasingha, it would be great if they could pass these cooking skills on, by way of a cookery school. He said that it was in the pipeline, and I would definitely make the journey back to take some lessons. The only other thing that, for us, would have been brilliant, was a couple of hammocks dotted around. Again many thanks for an incredible time.

Accommodation was poor. The facilities were very basic (cold showers). Our greatest criticism was the way the proprietors were trying to scam us: - a safari organised through the lodge cost $100 USD. We organised a safari through our driver for only $60 USD - dinner was $10 USD for curries and rice which was 10 times what we normally paid - as well as bland and small in size The female manager tried to make us feel guilty for organising our own safari and the staff were rude to our driver

The evening meals were stupendous. The guide and the day-long trip to Yala...super memorable and accommodating. Only surprises were when the guide said 'we rest for 2 hours at lunch' ...I forgot to check about that one??...after 90 minutes of resting, we were ready to go. Two types of cold bread at breakfast is/was not acceptable for the amount we were paying. I even asked for the toast to be cooked longer, but to no avail. Eggs, fresh fruit cut up, anything... there were nice aesthetics!

Musinga and his wife were great hosts, as we're the staff, the food was excellent, the rooms were perfect. A little bit on the expensive side, but completely worth it once you arrive and experience it! Just ensure that your driver has specific directions to locate the hostel.

A small gem of accommodation on the bank of the river. Mula and Carla the owners were extremely welcoming and friendly and did all they could and more to make our stay a great one. Mula arranged the full day safari with a visit to the temple at sunset for us, which are both a must do. The decor is unique and beautifully done and the food in the restaurant is amazing and exactly what we had been looking for during our time in Sri Lanka. Overall it was what we hoped Sri Lanka would be.
