I stayed in a double room. good points: mattress comfortable, clean bathroom, big bar, look like a hotel, next to a big train station. bad points: not centrally located, shower

Generator hostels are great. Great to meet new people, always clean and the staff are so friendly. Beds are comfy and the location is great. I will always recommend staying at the Generator, I just wish they were a little cheaper. But happy to pay as they are a great chain of hostels. Bar onsite and great food as well. Love it!

It was stated free breakfast but when we came in the staff said 4.50 for it.the corridor is unclean, bad bathroom.I and friends stay in 3rd floor and there are only 4 bath cubicals.1 of it was under repair so just 3 can be used.. and the people that waiting for it was like 7 or 8 people.the bad thing was the 3 bath cubicals linked to 1 drainage only at the centre.while I waiting for my bath turn I saw pee in yellow color.btw I paid 40 pound per person that night! quite disappointed with the stay

This hostel is great for it's location, cleanliness, and security. There isn't a kitchen which makes it hard to keep under budget, which isn't mentioned in the description. but it's a great hostel if that isn't your thing.

The hostel it self was very good, although the driving directions on their website needs to be updated as they are incorrect and very confusing. Overall this hostel has a good atmosphere about it and is very big and spacious, which is handy for a city like Berlin. Berlin is an amazing, growing city!!

The rooms were clean. Staff were good people in the hostel a good crowd. The Hostel is a LONG way from the city centre if you spend a couple of days there you realise you start spending alot of time on the S bahn! Also the wi-fi cuts in and out for hours at a time and the main area outside of the bar has the worst evelator music playing all the time its really bad for before a night out!!!

Nice place, not noisy. Breakfast is good. A little bit far from the city center.

It would be good to have wifi access inside the rooms.

the hostel was rather cut off from the centre but the transport system is very efficient so that was not really a problem!! the hostel was very clean and had very good facilities. even our room although rather cramped was clean and comfortable. The staff at the reception was rather cold, i felt, and were not exactly very helpful..you had too sort of force information out of them. but apart from that we had a great stay!

It was a very cosy hostel, definitely worth the money. Great athmosphere and lovely breakfasts! Good place to meet new people, and and overall epic experience!

i had a lot of fun in berlin, and if one day i will return there, i would return to Generator. Sure!!Bedrooms are clean and the bathroom is very nice, beds are comfortable. i'm sorry that i haven'r spoken enough with the crew, bu it was just because i went out all day, but for dinner, i met the guy in the kitchen ande he was veeeeeeeeery funny! bis bald marialaura

Excellent hostel, great staff, great drink promotions (pity the bar was been refurbished when we visited, but they still make a temporary bar to cater for everybody). Location was out but the tram/train were right next door and had direct routes to everywhere (really easy transport system in Berlin, easy to figure out)

Nice hostel, I definitely recommand it. Although we booked for 4 persons and we were split in 2 persons in 2 rooms.

Generally the hostel is nice, but the bathrooms are awfull, not clean at all and the toilets really smells bad. But the free walking tour was terrific and our guide really knows all the story os each place we went. Rooms and bunk bed comf but noisy (not hostel's fault this point) anyway if I go again to Berlin I will search for a place more central. I had to take a cab to go to the airport because suddenly and with no reason the train in the nearest station wasn't work.

You may want to ask guests not only to keep quiet after 11 pm, but to do so early in the morning as well.

This is more like a very cheap hotel, the character is definitely not a hostel one. The rooms are big, bright and clean. They have a luggage room where you can leave your luggage before you check in or after you check out (very helpful!). Also they have plenty of rooms, so I guess you can find an available room at any moment.
