The staff in particular was enormously helpful throughout our stay. They provided excellent restaurant and bar recommendations, and helped troubleshoot difficulties with flights, allowing us to use the house phone free of charge. If I am ever again in Copenhagen I will be sure to stay here.

Excellent Hostel, huge with nice breakfast, lounge and outside area on the 1st floor. Nice and comfortable rooms. Low point was that luggage room was completely full and I had to leave my bag under the stairs.

This was a great location and very clean. It felt secure and safe. However no kitchen or even fridge (and food out very expensive in Danmark) and poor access to wifi outside common room/ bar area was a let down.

The Generator Hostel overall was really great!! i had a very positive experience. My only issue is that the instructions on how to get there was a bit unclear, so we had to ask around to find out where it was located. The staff was really nice and helpful and gave use pointers on where to eat etc.

Very good stay. Ugliest building in Copenhagen though. Rooms are excellent. Good facilities. Too bad one of our bags got stolen. Although that was mostly our own fault.

I only stayed at this hostel for a few hours, but i was really impressed with the staff and the rooms. Beds were long enough so that even someone almost 2m tall could sleep comfortably, which is not the case everywhere. If I ever have to go to Copenhagen, I am almost certainly staying there again...

It's too bad there is no kitchen! In other hotel there is kitchen. The room is not really clean! Some people of the staff is not at all pleasant! The decoration is nice.

We had a 2 person private room at Generator. One of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed at. Also, the staff all seemed to be local to Copenhagen and were eager to provide good advice about where to go, what to eat, metro times etc. The rooms are quite expensive, but you won't be able to find muh cheaper in Copenhagen and I doubt you'll find better. Overall it's worth the money. Only real complaint is that if you're using wifi on a mobile device, some apps simply won't work. A minor annoyance.

I highly recommend this place! The staff was fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect for someone traveling alone as I was. Cannot wait to come back!

Location was fantastic. Staff weren't particularly welcoming although the bar staff seemed more friendly. The rooms were great with good lockers and great showers. The pillows were terrible though! Would stay here again and highly recommend the walking tour!

General facilities and common areas are really good. However, storage room for luggage is really small for the size of the hostel, and the amount of people that it can hold Also, as a hostel, offering accomodation to travellers on a budget, one or two rooms per floor dedicated to have a refrigerator or microwave would be appreciated

Reviews I had read before going were close to truth: the place is something in the middle between a hotel and a hostel, the staff is pretty formal but always fair, rooms are quiet.

Nice hostel, very clean. The bar area was huge so it was easy to grab drinks with friends. Didn't have a ton of character but for a more generic hostel, it was very good.

Staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. Dorm room was very clean and well kept with own toilet and 2 showers! All commons areas and bar were outstanding. It's a shame there isn't a kitchen facility but with everything else on offer you can forgive it!

There isn't a kitchen and you can't eat your own food/drinks at the hostel, making you buy their overpriced sandwiches or eat out everynight. The common area blasts music from the early evening on
