This hostel was really cool. It was pretty close to the city centre which was awesome too. This was definitely the environment we were looking for. We are 21-24 year olds and most of the other guests were about the same age as us. You could tell this hostel was very popular because there was always a bunch of people hanging out at the bars or just lounging. It has a huge living room area and bar where they played fun music and had some TVs. We got to see the Eurovision contest there too.

Good location, walking distance from most things. The bar is a good place to hang out and meet fellow travellers. Clean rooms, friendly staff, free wi-fi - would stay here again.

Pros: Generator was a well-designed, high-quality hostel. Check in and out was very easy. Prices were upfront. Good facilities. Cons: There is no kitchen, all food or drink consumed must be bought from the bar. Bar plays loud music at night (held a 9pm album launch below my room!). Social interaction in common areas is not great. Breakfast was quite pricey for what it was. Other: The clientele was a broad mix of ages. For many it was a hotel rather than hostel. Recommended

Its a nice clean hostel/hotel.. some of the features are more like a hotel which i didn't like at all. - The lifts take for ever to go up and down the floors. - the internet only works on level 1. - you are not allowed to bring your own food into the building even if the kitchen is closed and you cant buy anything - that is pathetic!!!

The location is excellent, near the Stroget shopping street and Kongens Nytorv station! The hostel has a huge lobby where you can meet lots of people. The rooms though don't get cleaned while your stay, only after you have checked out for the next visitor. You get free bed linen, but no free towel - you either bring one from home with you or buy one from the hostel. You have to pay a charge for breakfast. I liked the hostel, because of the location and you could meet easily a lot of nice people.

Generator Hostel is located in the middle of down town Copenhagen. Location is great and staff very friendly. Unfortunately the cleaning lady stole my shirts during cleaning. My room-mates were a kind of idiots. I don't understand why hostels every time putting nations straight together? I missed also the typical flair of an hostel. In Generator Hostel you could find a place to sleep (with average cost in CH), but not to stay.

Definitely geared toward the young partying traveler class. The "chill out" space was basically a loud bar for college students and not what either of us wanted after a day out on the town. Coming to bed at 11pm was awkward with people in our dorm noisily getting ready to go out to the club. Despite this it was a very clean, well-managed hostel. The staff seemed rather occupied and cold, and I missed the friendly, personable atmosphere that can be found at other hostels.

The free wifi was horrible, it basically did not work. As well, all other amenities above the basic necessities needed to be paid for at expensive prices, I felt like this was where they were trying to make their money.

The hostel is sparkly new with corporate kind of atmosphere. So if you look for a cozy, b&b like hostel, this is not one of it. This place is very business like, 24 hrs staff+check-in, with key card to use to enter your room and even the lift, etc. But the room is clean with ensuite shower and the location is very much near everything- walkable distance from Nyhavn (New Harbour) and very convenient to travel from the airport as well.

Extremely clean and amazing facilities! By far the fanciest hostel I've stayed at to date.

The hostel´s location was great! Good value for money, especially in expensive Copenhagen. The only negative thing is there wasn´t any kitchen for the guests available, which meant no place to store and prepare your own food for those of us, who travel on a budget. Anyway, I was happy with my choice of a hostel, I would definitely stay there again. BTW, I stayed in a female dorm, it was OK - small, but clean and safe.

Extremely well runned Hostel. Overall very satisfied. only 2 small remarks: the wi-fi was a bit up and down, and the system of giving in breakfast-token/recieving the breakfast-board was a bit chaotic.
