Overall, it was a pretty nice stay. Super close to the subway station, so even if it's a bit far off from the city center, it's easy to travel to. Definitely worth the money, on the cheap side. The "free wifi," however, was only available in the lounge on the first floor and it was down for a whole day, including the desktop Internet they have in the lounge area. The showers aren't bad, it's what you expect from a dorm type of shower.

Overall the hostel itself was not bad. Because there is no common room it can make it harder to meet people and the free WiFi only works on the ground floor. It didn't hinder me too much, but for some it may. A warning for people looking at going, outside food and drinks are not allowed. Other than that, all was good.

More like a really poor hotel. Can't bring in your own food or drink, so forced to buy their food and drink. Terrible location, can't walk to city centre have to take two trains to get to town. Wifi is very slow and only available in the lobby area. The bar was a sweat box, and was designed awfully! Had to share one set of locker room showers between an entire floor. They split the four of us up even though there were empty beds in our rooms and the staff were very unhelpful.

A ton of school groups tend to stay here in the summer. Felt more like a playground. Kids were yelling, running down the halls, and pressing every button on the floor of the elevators for pranks. Told the people at the front desk but they didn't seem to care. Everything else was good though.

Wifi didn't work the entire weekend I was there. Staff just said they were "calling someone about it". Also not really in Prenzlauer Berg. No security - anyone can walk onto an elevator and get to any floor. Mostly huge groups of loud teenagers on group trips - I switched to Mitte and had an amazing time, secure, better area and better people.

Good hostel friendly staff just sucks how many school groups they have go through.

Great staff!! The location isn't super close to any main attractions but the train station and trams are RIGHT next to the hostel. Felt super safe and comfortable.

Allowing school/family groups is annoying. I had a family with really young children in my dorm. Not only is this potentially dangerous for the young kids, it's frustrating having to try and be quiet so early in the night because there are young kids sleeping (who don't show the same courtesy in the morning)

The facilities and premises of this hostel are really nice. The staff is helpful, the breakfast is worth it. The only problem is the wifi that does not work in the dorms..

Awful. Awful. Awful. Soulless. Lousy staff in the tiny reception. Location dreadful. Check-in took forever. Cramped room with very basic facilities. I was overcharged for my stay - booked through the website but despite my receipt saying I had 53 Euros to pay and no more, I was charged 55. Bar facilities overpriced and tacky. And above all - NOISY. I was continually woken up by other guests coming in, singing etc. right through the night. Sound-proofing non-existent.

Clean, simple, good location (if you know Berlin and how to get around). Lack of lockers in room, only lockable, but moveable storage containers under the bed, which is a hazardous way to place luggage in terms of the risk of spreading bedbugs.

Hostel for young people. Location is not the best. Also everything costs extra. I would not recommend.

Great stay in February for Berlinale. Booked 6 person dorms and my friends money was stolen on the first night so the security really isnt that great. The staff were very friendly, and did there best to resolve the situation but ultimately didnt. In the end they moved us to a twin private and charged us the rate of the dorm prices. Despite all this our stay was Great. The showers were brilliant!! Room was comfy. The location is okay. Recommend a kebab from the chip shop just around the corner!
