Great service, but the bathroom was very dirty.
Cool, just that on the whole of the ground floor there was a strong smell of trash.
Overall the hostel was very good showers were always clean good facilities. Wifi was a bit hit and miss at times and computers in common room only 1 was working when we were there. Also the lockers in our room were a bit battered.
I've travelled a lot, and this is definitely one of the best - if not the best - hostel I've ever been to, not to mention an amazing deal for the price.
Is this place a joke? I showed up early and my impression was so negative I decided to check out and try my luck with a different hostel. Seems to be located in the middle of nowhere, no good food. Staff was unwelcoming (though this seems par for the course in Berlin) and I had to pay to store my stuff until check-in time. No internet available in the rooms, only in the lobby. A lot of older people/kids/british tattoo enthusiasts here. Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
Bugs in the shower. Very large so it's difficult to meet people here. Not your typical hostel experience. More like just a place to sleep. Bugs in the shower though...
Location was pretty nice, really close to the s-bahn station, easy to get to the city central and airport, train station. Bathrooms need some updating. Staff was nice and helpful. Wasn't nice that you had to pay for luggage storage if arriving before 3pm.
They try to make you pay extra for everything. You are for example not allowed to drink or eat things from outside anywhere in the hostel or in garden of the hostel. Internet does not reach all the rooms so big chance of no internet in your room.
Overall, it was a pretty nice stay. Super close to the subway station, so even if it's a bit far off from the city center, it's easy to travel to. Definitely worth the money, on the cheap side. The "free wifi," however, was only available in the lounge on the first floor and it was down for a whole day, including the desktop Internet they have in the lounge area. The showers aren't bad, it's what you expect from a dorm type of shower.
Overall the hostel itself was not bad. Because there is no common room it can make it harder to meet people and the free WiFi only works on the ground floor. It didn't hinder me too much, but for some it may. A warning for people looking at going, outside food and drinks are not allowed. Other than that, all was good.
More like a really poor hotel. Can't bring in your own food or drink, so forced to buy their food and drink. Terrible location, can't walk to city centre have to take two trains to get to town. Wifi is very slow and only available in the lobby area. The bar was a sweat box, and was designed awfully! Had to share one set of locker room showers between an entire floor. They split the four of us up even though there were empty beds in our rooms and the staff were very unhelpful.
A ton of school groups tend to stay here in the summer. Felt more like a playground. Kids were yelling, running down the halls, and pressing every button on the floor of the elevators for pranks. Told the people at the front desk but they didn't seem to care. Everything else was good though.
