Very nice in terms of facilities but not much of an as big and far out from the centre of Berlin and any restaurants /bars
Wifi basically non existent, bathroom small and dirty, no good vibe and the staff are basically rude, good location though
Accidentally booked this Generator hostel confusing it for the one in Mitte. Place is enormous (over 900 beds) bathroom in the dorm looks like it's taken straight from an airplane lavatory. Nothing interesting in the area so always have to train somewhere else. Was there during heatwave and on 9th floor, no aircon so felt like I was suffocating in the middle of the night. Arrived after check in time and still had to wait an hour to be checked in by staff. Wifi only in the lobby.
Good hostel. Quite a way from the hub of Berlin but easily accessible.
Bedrooms are like a sauna but other than that it was great
The rooms were disgusting as were the bathrooms, the dryer was broken so I was stuck with wet clothes. Overall did not enjoy my stay here - wish I wouldn't have wasted money. Location is terrible as well
To be honest, you get what you pay for here. Unfortunately we came while all thier systems were down and a heat wave was in full swing. No airconditioning, the windows only open maybe 10 centimeters also, the wifi only works in the lobby so if you want to relax and text your friends, don't look to forward to it. Last but not least it is extremely loud at night, they have their own bar that blasts music till the early AM. I would definitely not stay here again.
it is really the best hostel at been staid! I hope I could go to this hostel in London and Dublin!
Clean place. Nice beds. The showers need to be fixed as there is no support to hang it and because of that while showering I had to hold it with one hand which was a pain in the ass.
On arriving at the hotel we were told the servers were down so we could not check in. But they did not offer us to use the bathrooms or anything, we were only given a free drink. When we got checked in at 10Pm the room was very basic but had stains all over the bed sheets, the lockers weren't useable so there was no security. The showers are dirty and awful. They could give better directions to the hotel also, we were told to get off at central station when we could have got off at ostbanhof
Had to change rooms due to a mess up; in first room despite the guy telling me that the locker was very big and would fit my suitcase in(leading me to buy a padlock for it) the door was far too thin for my suitcase, in the second room the locker was under the bed and wasn't able to open due to a wall in the way! I think lockers should always be a given- without having to buy padlocks. There isn't enough sofas in the lounge area, and you really need to sort out the teeny tiny toilet stalls!!!

For the money i spent i cant complain too much, but one thing i ll mention, i was here for 6 days and wished too extend, ask Kenneth if i could extend in a cheaper room or same price room, he told me there was only more expensive rooms left so i checked out, i went on hostelworld & their was 8 bed dorms for 9€ a night?! So i booked it & came back, dont appreciate staff trying too scam me.
Staff are great always willing to help but the set up is more of a hotel and some rooms are way over priced location isn't great need transportation to go anywhere wifi only works in the lobby and all the parties they promote and the bar open late isn't always the case a lot of school kids always around 15 16 years old not ideal

Deffinetly not a place for solo travellers, out of the way and wifi only in common area. Huge building with only one bathroom on my floor so I had to walk quite a distance to use the toilet and shower. Would have been fine expect there had been holes punched in the walls and cheaply plastered over so kinda felt like I was in a halfway house or something. No where really good to eat close by and staff Seemed rather rude. Would not recommend or stay again could find better for cheaper.
Our stay was really nice and we did enjoy it. The beds were comfortable and the ATM machine on the ground floor was really helpful. The wifi however wasn't very good and you could only get it on the ground floor so for us being on the 4th floor wasn't very good. The bar never opened when it said it should be open with no notifications saying when it would open. The breakfast wasn't worth the money we paid at all but despite this, we did have a pleasant stay.
This hostel should be avoided at all costs until some major changes are made. The negatives are: - Wifi doesn't work in the rooms - Showers are awful (dirty, soaked, and you have to hold the faucet and the shower simultaneously to make them work) - Lockers don't even close - Terrible atmosphere - full of large groups of intensely annoying teenagers on a school trip when I was there - Rude staff - Location is not good - a mission to get anywhere. AVOID. Go to Wombats instead.
It was a really big hostel so it had more of a hotel vibe. I really enjoyed the lobby areas and bar!
Very similar to a hotel. Facilities are super clean and well-managed with clean sheets every day. Downside is that you need to go downstairs to receive wifi and the main lobby is spaced out with metal furniture - not the cosiest thing. Definitely worth your stay if you're interested in just hanging out with your own friends or having a space to retreat into - but not a space for meeting people easily or relaxing. Still a great stay!
Not in a good location at all. No where to eat or nothing to do around at all. Highly recommend not staying here if you want to be close to attractions/ main areas of Berlin.
Out of 8 lockers in room, 7 of them are broken, staff tray to sell payable lockers, no toilet paper for 2days...
