An amazing place to stay! Very close the St. Marks square.. Just 1 stop away by the water boat. Also, if ur there on Sunday night u could enjoy their movie show in the night with the young local crowd! Had an amazing time there.

Unfriendly/unhelpful staff. They are not really interested in the guests and they are a bit grumpy. One of the reasons for me to go to a hostel is that most of the time some friendly locals give you lots of tips, you shouldn't expect that overhere
Lovely Hostel, really enjoyed my stay here.
great hostel maybe a 5 min waterbus away from st marks square. hostel rooms are really nice, wifi is pretty good, and the breakfast is really nice. the bar is well priced and a good place to meet other travellers. will defs stay here again xx
Incredible environment, and wonderful service. Thank you all so much for your help during my stay, and for creating a positive environment for travelers like myself. The only real recommendation I have is to keep the music in the common room down a bit. There were a few times during happy hour where it became difficult to hear the person across from you. Other than that, a perfect stay.
Great vibes, fantastic atmosphere. Looks more like a hotel actually. Beds are comfortable and room is clean with a personal locker each. But you will have to use own locks. Situated across san marco square, beautiful view of the city at night :)
I think they are a little greedy. I paid almost 100e for two nights (ok, it was St. Valentine's and Mardi Gras) and they still made me pay 2 euros for a hostelling international card and 4 euros for a really poor breakfast. They don't have a kitchen and you have to consume only products bought in there. The facilities are nice, though.
I thought the atmosphere was great but wish the music in the lobby was a little less loud especially at night because many would like to sleep early after a long day of sightseeing.
Very noisy at night if you're trying to sleep. They need to improve the rooms - there were insifficient hooks to hang wet towels which is a problem in winter. The ceiling on our floor was also unsealed which meant bits of debris fell into our beds. However the location is fantastic (keep in mind you'll need €20 for a 24 hour ferry ticket in order to get anywhere each day).
It is a very modern hostel and the staff is very helpfull. The only problem was the beds were very close to each other and it was very hard to take out my clothes or go to sleep without disturbing anybody. Anyway I had the best time and I recomend this hostel!
Great hostel. Probably the best one I've been to Super clean and well maintained
A friendly staff, a quite location, though a little bit remote, clean and efficient rooms. Having stayed in a dorm, I would love to have a locker or any little place for my belongings rather than to have to drop them all on the floor, and windows could be better insulated too. (The wind in February is really icy.) Two one-person toilets for a floor with about 50 people is definitely not enough.
The man at the front desk was so helpful. We had an early train, and he spent at least 10 minutes checking the night waterbus and train times for us. The hostel's vibe is very cool, and there is a fun bar/cafe downstairs. Great experience!
I didn't know what to expect but I had the MOST fun in Italy at Generator Venice. 45 minutes after checking in I was already making friends and by the end of the night almost the whole cafe had joined our drinking game. It was like this every night. The food is good, staff nice, rooms are clean, and if you can live with 7€ boat bus trips (they rarely check tickets though...) I absolutely recommend this place for your stay in Venice. I made friends I hope to have my whole life here.
I really liked the hostel, the only thing is that taking a shower in there without getting my clothes wet was kind of difficult because there wasn't too much space in the little bar inside the shower.

They didn't state it at Hostel World that you have to be the member in order to stay in the hostel. After I booked my stays I got an email from them and then they told me it's a member only hostel. I end up paying €2 extra per night per stupid "welcome" stemp which didn't make me feel welcome at all. After a research online I found out the stupid stemp only cost €1-1.50 max in other Gernerator. Will never ever go back to them！ They trick people to make booking first and force us to pay more!!!
Great hostel. It's a pain having to catch the boat to it, and strongly recommend the 3 day €24 travel student pass, otherwise it's €7 each trip! The staff play favourites with guest, so expect to wait a long time for service at the bar/cafe. Bathrooms are male
The hostel has a big common area with a bar, which is great, but otherwise I was disappointed with the facilities. The bathrooms were filthy and there was always water all over the floor from people showering . . . oftentimes there was no soap. The 16 bed dorms have two beds which are right next to the door -- I got one of those beds -- and I was woken up all throughout the night and then by the first person up in the morning. The hostel has a nice vibe, but sanitary and sleeping is sub par.
Awesome place to meet people. Understaffed at the bar sometimes though...
