Pros - A clean and quiet hostel in a great location near the restaurants/bars of El Poblado. Cons - Lacks atmosphere as there's no real social space apart from the kitchen so don't go if you want a patry hostel. Showers often freezing if someone else has used them first.
This is an amazing hostel, very modern with minimalist decor, and packed with great staff especially (but not exclusively) those on reception. This is the safest and cleanest hostel I've ever been in. The area is a fair way from Downtown but who needs the city when leafy El Pleb (far from being pleb-like) is buzzing with great restaurants and bars. The hostel does not have a hostel feel, it doesn't have a bar (but the kitchen's good, and it's extremely quiet. Highly recommended.
It's definitely more a hotel than a hostel. Looks nice and modern, but no hostel atmosphere. Breakfast was good, area is great and feels safe/secure.
Do not read reviews, go ahead and book Geo Hostel NOW!!!! simply perfect, best place to stay in Medellin
It is truly the most amazing spot for staying in this city Highly recommended
I have spent 7 of the past 13 years backpacking around Central and South America and Southeast Asia, in all that time I have only found 1 other hostel that compares to Geo Hostel. It is located in El Poblado surrounded by great bars and restaurants, it's super clean, they actually do routine maintenance all over the hostel, the bathrooms are straight out of an upscale hotel, oh ya and the staff is great, actually great isn't even close to describing them. I will definitely come back.
Super friendly, helpful staff, very clean and modern style, nice rooftop area, more quiet than other hostels, but easy to meet people, tasty breakfasts. I love Medellin, too. I would definitely stay here again.
Ingave the "hostel" a good rating because ther deserve it. I will only say that- it is not a hostel, or fits the needs of a trevelers. It is like an hotel only with dorms and low prices. No atmosphere, horrible to be in if your young and treveling. Again all great clean amazing facility, NOT for young people who wanna meet new people...!!!!
Geo Hostel is a really very nice place to stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious! The beds are very comfortable and there are many toilets available. In many hostels are not enough bathrooms! The staff is very friendly and gives useful advises. All the people who work and stay there are very nice people! If I return to Medellin I definately stay at Geo Hostel again and therefore I can highly recommend it to other travellers! The location is perfect and it's not a party hostel!
Mega clean! One guy of the staff was very helpfull and had a good English level. A big bad point is the house keeping lady who is so rude! Don't speak to her in the morning, she will kill you...
Probably the smartest hostel I've ever stayed in, it was definitely value for money when you compare the price with more expensive hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was massive with nice en suite bathroom. Only two gripes I had were with the wi-fi as it was slow or difficult to connect to with my phone, and the noise from the street - the music from nearby bars and the traffic made it difficult to sleep. Loved everything else though.
