The actual hostel is very clean and safe but it is inside a very dirty building inside a commercial middle eastern shopping center. The elevator is just plain horrible the wait is very long and the stairwell is like a scene from a horror movie. Its located in the 6 through 12 floor so don't forget anything as it will set you back 20 minutes each way back.

We booked a room i Germany hostel, but got a room in a totally different guesthouse. NOT AT ALL WHAT WE HAD BEEN PROMISED AT THE BOOKING WEBSITE! But average and okay standard.

I payed for Germany and saw Germany's pics on the web but when i arrived they took me to another floor and told me that those were the dorms... it was called Paris hostel... it was ok, but not what i payed for, and had only one toilet for too many people... Had a good time anyways and it was safe and quite clean... but too expensive for the place it finally was...

It was very hard to find, inside a shopping mall where are around 20 more hostals. As soon as I found it, the person on the reception desk was very unfriendly. Everything seemed to me like a prison and it was unclean. The good thing was: the people who did the room are very very nice. But as I said: the reception, which is very important, was the worst of my whole around the world trip so far. and the rooms are very small. if it is full, which it was, then there is almost no space, coz of bags

A good choice for budget travelers. The room was typical ChungKing Mansion size, but was clean and staff were pleasant very helpful. Note that the same people own and/or manage several hostels out of the same office, so don't worry if you end up in a different hostel from what you booked; there is nothing shady going on.

The hostel is small and a little run down. But it is safe, clean, well located and the staff are approachable. When I arrived they had not seen my order from hostelworld which dissapointed me. Customers should not have to prove they have purchased rooms via this intermediary website. Their wifi is slow, I'd happily pay as much as I did for my room if the wifi were faster. I think for what I recieved I should have paid less. It was not good value for money.

Our dorm room was surprisingly well maintained. The staff always came in to change out dirty cups and keep coffee filled and what not. It's on one of the lesser busy blocks in Chungking which made the elevators a bit easier to navigate. No common area, so you only really got to hang out with those in your room. My roomies were rad though so no worries there. Staff was pleasant;not overly courteous but definitely kind.

It is advertized as German own Guesthouse, but ownership looked changed. Location is good, and cleanliness and space, service are as just for I paid, but in the same place I could find better and cheaper one, so I gave up my deposit, and moved out.

Difficult to find as it's not on front but down an ally & up a lift . the room is tiny but has small en suite , fan etc . I suppose it represents good value for HK. Free internet, Tea & coffee .

Ive stayed in alot of hostels but this was by far the worst. Had to argue to get our rooms in the first place even after booking and paying deposit online, they where reluctant to let us view rooms prior to paying. we got 2 rooms a twin and a double. the double was literally only 2x3m including bathroom, had no windows and was very stuffy (similar i imagine to a coffin) the twin wasnt as bad in size but the window there wouldnt close properaly so there was a cold draft. dont waste ur time

We weren't excaxtly staying in Germany Hostel but the reception takes core of some other hostels there, which seems quite the same. Don't panic if you get into the Chungking building, the hostel is okay. Small rooms, average facilities and the best what you can get for this price! If you only looking for a place to sleep, it is perfect.

I was stay at Germany Hostel for 3 nights, on the first and second night are find but on the third night, the hostel staff get my stuffs out of the dorm room without asked me. When I returned to dorm room and founded that my stuffs are missing, its make me very mad and disappoint. I'd not recommend this hostel to anyone.

Arrived one hour later at the hostel than we noted at the reservation-the gave our room to another person! wanted to put us in a dormitory (we reserved a double room with bathroom). We discussed with them and got a one meter bed for 2 persons and with a DISGUSTING bathroom, fetid blanket! whole bathroom full of mould.room not in booked hostel!second night we got the room we booked, was quite OK.Didn\'t got some money back-wouldn\'d have paid more than 4 Euro for the other room (we paid 18!)!

I pass through Hong Kong at least 5 times a year and always stay in Chung King mansions because it is very convenient and economical. My most recent visit was by far the worst experience of a hostel I have ever had. I can't explain it in this text box as there is not enough space so please email me if you want to know the details.

Making people happy, is making your business rich. People don\'t need you to bag them or even treat them like your friends. Keeping the smile all the time. Doing whatever they asked for right away. Freedom is what travelers are looking for. Not lot of rules because they want brake from their Mothers and dads. Be positive. Don\'t stereotype whoever believe your religion. Always remember that without your customers your business will shut. Don\'t be smart. Customers are not stupid.
