I don't understand that hostel was rated high. They definitively have no taste for arranging the room and it is far from any good places to go out (if there are many in Joburg...).

They pick you up from airport and the facilities are nice. Staff are a little moody at time and I'm not sure how they get away with not offering Wi-Fi...in this day and age. Can't order food either..have to walk 10 minutes to the store..which in Johannesburg is not the greatest idea.

Very nice place, with a wonderful staff. Located in a secure neighbourhood, (thou near to some not-so-good areas) Very basic all-around good place.

Outside from the city and safe located! Very friendly and helpful stuff. Shuttleservice for R200 to the airport (Taxi to expensive)! Good place to met new travelers. Have fun with the stuff in the bar. Some old furnitures and the kitchen partially dirty. But because of the good atmosphere you can ignore it!!

Great house and all is perfectly organized by Heinz! It’s quiet and spacious at the same time. Very close to the airport (15 min ride).

Very clean and very safe. Relax hostel to stay low for a few days. If you're looking for a party spot this is not it. This is Jo'burg so no single place can be centrally located, as is the case with Ghandi, you need to walk 15-20min. anywhere or take a taxi. Internet unfortunately is expensive at 25 rand per hour, plus there's no wi-fi.

The bathrooms in the dorms are a bit uncomfortable since they offer hardly any privacy and they are very few. But other than that, really nice hostel and great kitchen.

I really liked the hostel even though it had more of a hotel feel to it than a hostel. No place to party with fellow travellers but really well run. Everything is tidy and in place. There area felt very safe. The manager and his staff were friendly and helped with organisin things whenever necessary. If you are not looking for a party location, highly recommended.
