Great hostel! I went in the middle of winter so it had a bit of a quieter atmosphere! Gianni is a fantastic host and one of the most friendly, genuine people I've met. Even though I was the only one there he gave me cooking lessons and taught me about Sicilian life. I wish I could have stayed longer, highly recommend!!!
I felt the warmest hospitaliy and atmosphere,I really enjoyed chatting during the breakfast and after dinner. I wish I could stay longer, would like to stay again if I come back to Sicily again! Thank you for your great hospitality and help! I have never stayed such fantastic hostel before.
Great hostel, stayed here in a low time but staff was really nice, and even drove my bud and I to the train station when the bus didn't come! Would definitely stay here again
Gianni house, what a time! I highly suggest staying here, it's worth every penny. The staff, aside from just being helpful and nice were some of the funniest, coolest (Becky I'm looking at you) people ever. The hostel is clean, with all the amenities you could need. Perfect location and lots of good advice on what to do in and around Catania!
excellent staff, they are full of passionate!!
This was the best hostel I have stayed in during 2 months in Italy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was extremely clean. Amazing view of Etna from terrace. The hostel is 15 mins by bus from Toarmina train station and so easy to find, perfect! I wish I could have stayed longer!
Amazing atmosphere. Super friendly and helpful stuff. Delicious breakfast with breathtaking view.
Very nice staffs for help me anything about the trip especially use their own car to drive me to the travel agency to buy a bus ticket. Really recommend to any budget traveller to stay.
The hostel was very clean, very easy to locate with their directions, breakfast was adequate. The staff is incredibly friendly and happy to meet everyone, good with helpful info as well. A nice 45 min walk along the sea wall to Taormina. 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants. A little noisy from the busy street being right there but overall a great hostel.
the staff was really nice and the atmosphere with the other guest was very good as well

This is the way to do Taormina. Away from the noise and expense of the old city. But only a bus ride away (at 1 Euro, 0.80). Walk to the beach. Walk to the store. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at.
Gianni's house was great! Everyone felt like family. The facilities were good, good breakfast, good wifi, and good set up. Loved the common area and terrace
Hostel was so far away that we spent hours waiting for buses and paying for taxis. Beach is across a dump/ park. No food close by and the neighbourhood felt dodgy. Staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be. The hostel is very old.
It is a great place if you are visiting Taormina: Not only you pay at least 5 times less than the average hotel in the old city, but it is also a short bus ride there. And the place is fantastic, with an amazing view from the rooftop and quality facilities, but it is also very clean, with friendly staff and the best breakfast I have had in a hostel ever! Many thanks to Gianni for his advice and congratulation for the great work he is doing. Hope to see you next time much longer! Greetings, Raf
We had a lovely stay at Gianni house! Gianni welcomed us with open arms and proudly provided us with lots OS information about the local area and some restaurant recommendations. All then staff were happy to help- ordering pizzas and whatever you need. I loved the bright and breezy rooms and the location was great- walk to beach and bus right outside.
A great place that can really make you feel at home! They have balcony for every room, which makes it easy to dry our cloths. Form their terrace, there is a fantastic view of Mount Etna and the sea, a wonderful place to enjoy the sun rise and sun set! They prepare rich variety of breakfast everyday. The staff are very nice, always smiling and ready to help. And Gianni even invited me to drink his home made sicilian wine ;) Grazie mille to you all.
Nice place for visiting Taormuna. I feel it is even better than staying up there in the town of Taormina as you avoid the crowd and noise. Going bu bus is absolutely convenient.
A very good hostel an easy bus ride from Catania or Taormina. Very nice facilities including rooftop terrace. 10 minutes walk from the beach, with loan of beach towels & umbrellas. Lovely breakfast included, fresh bread, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, fresh coffee. Free wi-fi. Gianni the owner very kind and helpful. Price for private room similar to 2 star hotel, and standard definitely as good. Drawbacks: shower a bit temperamental; building is four storeys with no lift - but works off the pasta!
