I had a fantastic time at Gianni House. The location is perfect and the staff was fantastic. Gianni himself was amazing. My friend and I missed the last bus up to Taormina, so Gianni and Emilio drove us up there and dropped us off at a restaurant. Hostels do not get better than Gianni House.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at the hostel. Lots of people hang out in the common room throughout the day, nice rooftop terrace with view of Mt Etna, and Gianni himself cooked pasta and sausage for us one night! I had a whole room to myself and it was average for a hostel. Shower was terrible - very little water pressure and only stayed warm for a few minutes, cold at night. The Giardini Naxos is not a very nice area compared to Taormina. Bus costs 4 euros round trip to Taormina.

Gianni & the staff and Gianni's house were excellent! The main reason I chose to come to the East Coast of Sicily was to visit Mt Etna. Due to the time of my visit (low season), this proved a challenge as tours do not run everyday and there was no tour running on the day that suited me. Gianni offered to take me and spent an entire day as my personal tour guide. This sums up how great and unique a hostel this is - a trip I wil remember for a lifetime. Thank you Gianni, Maja and Vivi!!! George

It was perfect except that the shower was not working well. I had to wait for about 5 min. to get warm water. But the others were perfect! The location is near both the bus station and the beach, there is a roof top terrace where you can see a volcano and the sea, very nice and lovely staffs, etc.

I stayed here for my entire spring break (7 nights) and it was the best decision I have ever made. From the second I checked in until I left, I felt completely at home. The two front desk workers are THE NICEST women on the planet, and are always there to help you with anything.I was traveling alone, so I thought I met get lonely, but with the company of the employees and Gianni, I was always entertained. The breakfast is great, and there are always pasta parties! I did not want to l leave!

I really enjoyed my staying in Gianni hostel, it's absolutely one of the best hostels I've ever been. The situation is perfect: it takes only few minutes to go to the beach and the bus to Taormina leaves in front of the hostel. The views from the terrace are awesome: Mount Etna, sea the city. The hostel is clean and quiet and the staff is really nice and helpful. Thanks, I'll sure come back!

Our stay at Gianni House was lovely. Gianni, the host, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed even going as far as to make us zabaglione! The hostel location was good being only a few minutes walk to a beach and very near to ammenities - the food in Sicily is excellent. The nearby town of Taormina was easily reachable on foot but there is also a bus. The other staff at the hostel were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Gianni!

My stay at Gianni House was the perfect hostel experience. The beach is only a few minutes away and there are several excursion tours to keep you busy for days! The room and bathrooms were completely spotless, which is rare to find in most hostels. During my stay, the owner and a friend of the hostel threw a pasta party on the roof terrace. The food was absolutely delicious and we had Mt. Etna erupting behind us! Can't wait to come back!

This hostel is excellent. Very clean. wifi was not working. But still give 5/5 stars. The hosts went out of their way to find/buy a bus ticket to naples as train not running due to accident. She drove me to the agency. The teenagers spoke/translated between mother/host and me which was great.

The stuff at Gianni is super nice and helpful. Although certain things are broken (and I changed rooms), it did not affect my mood in visiting Taomina and the hospitality of Gianni House

The host and hostess were very friendly. They offered us Coffee and Tiramisu on our arrival. Later on they cooked for us sicilian Pasta, which was free of charge. All these little things made the hostel a great place to stay.

Lovely stay here. Gianni is a great host. Huge place and very comfortable. Clean and the breakfast is a treat! Everything very accessible. Shame I was here in the low season, as I can imagine this place to go off in the summer time.
