I had a fantastic stay. Giovanni is a great host and the hostel is comfortable, located in a good spot, and populated by very nice travelers. I would recommend this hostel to anyone, and if I come back to Naples in the future, I am definitely staying here.

Nice Hostel. Location is alright. Giovannis is nice, but way to patriotic. Feels like he was mad at me that I am staying just two nights. Would choose another hostel the next time.

Giovanni's is an amazing hostel! He knows Naples inside and out, the hostel is safe, fun, easy to meet people, good location, and has the warmth of a real home. I would recommend it to anyone.

Giovanni is amazing! From his thorough orientation of Naples to his surprise pot of pasta for when we arrived, he's the best hostel keeper I've ever met. His passion for his city is admirable, and I'm sure I wouldn't have had nearly as great a time in Naples without his knowledge. He helps you plan all your days, and showed us there's more to Naples than just Pompeii. The atmosphere is great for meeting other backpackers. It can be a bit tricky to find, but I would absolutely come back here.

Well, first of all, location is not good. The hostel is not near from the napoli centrale station, so you have to take a subway again once you go outside of napoli. Giovanni is a nice person but for some reason i did not really like him. However, overall, it was pretty okay with the money value.

Awesome!!!! Uncle Giovanni will give a detailed introduction of Napoli and around, he's quite proud of his hometown! 24 guests at most and 4 bathrooms, enough wide dining room, also entertainment room and what a big balcony!!!! Five kitchen ranges and broad space to hang washed clothes!! Got discount of the underground tour(€8 after discount), just 4 min walk distance, and €1 discount of Vesuvio Express in Ercolano!(€17) Great neighborhood for cheap food and things and enthusiastic local guys!

I don't think I would have enjoyed my time in Napoli as much if I had stayed somewhere else. I really loved this hostel. There is a great atmosphere and the other guests were great too. The owner of the hostel is wonderful.... go there and see for yourself!

a nice place well situated and run by a very nice person(Giovanni the cook-singer!)who will provide pasti, good humour and touristical advice. We stayed at Giovanni's 6 days with my 15 year old son and I . and if our stay in Naples and surroundings have been so agreable it's also due to Giovanni's accomodations and kindness. a place to stay in Naples, definetly!

Giovanni's home was the best hostel I've visitied. The atmosphere was so friendly and helpful. Giovanni gave an information about all that are worth a look and about security on the streets. I spent there 5 days and they was just great. I think this isn't an occupation for Giovanni, it's his lifestyle.

Best hostel I have ever stayed at. Giovanni cares for you, cooks for you, and wants only for you to fall in love with Napoli as he has. I left the city for two days on the Amalfi Coast (much to Giovanni's chagrin), and came back for one more day with a couple of friends at another hostel. How did I spend my time? By going back to Giovanni's and helping him cook one last dish of Italian cuisine. I love that man, and I love how he opened up my eyes to what the city had to offer. Stay here.

When booking to stay with Giovanni, I was a little suspicious due to seemingly every review boasting about his greatness and how wonderful his home was. After staying there, I can say that it's completely true and anyone looking for a unique, unforgettable experience in Naples should look no further. Giovanni treats his guests like family, which means great food cooked by the man himself, fun music nights, and a thorough introduction to his city.

I absolutely loved staying with Giovanni. He is such a sweetheart and will do absolutely anything to make you feel welcome in his home. He really looks out for you and your safety. We had so much fun doing everything he recommended. His food, his food is delicious. He even gave me a ride to the airport on the back of his motor scooter. If we are ever in Naples again, we will be sure to stay here.

Giovanni is a lovely man, he sat down for an hour with us and told us all about Naples when we got there, changed our whole plans for the better and gave us a great impression of Naples. The place is his home, a bit run down and chaotic, but clean, warm, cosy, great kitchen facilities and bathrooms (not new but perfectly functional). The only downsides were: 1. the bunks were a bit old and felt a bit like sleeping in a hammock, and 2. Giovanni smokes so the place smells of smoke a bit.
