Giovanni's home is the ideal place to stay if you want to explore the most of Naples in a short amount of time. Giovanni is very helpful and informative when it comes to explaining activities to do in the city. He gives you a map and marks off places to go. He also gives you a train map to Ercolano, Vesuvius and Pompeii with information on how to get there. The hostel is very well maintained and the rooms and bedspread are kept clean. Overall, a very good, economical choice for travelers

I'm a believer that when travelling it's the people you meet not the things you do that leave the longest impression and mean the most - Giovanni is case a point. He'll likely cook you a dinner and play you a tune for dessert, and every piece of advice should be taken very seriously. You were so right Giovanni - why didn't I skip Rome completely and stay with you!? Mark down for security just because other hostels offer lockers/cages/whatever and they aren't offered here, but still very safe

great week-end, great people. We were in three (2 guys and 1 girl) and the mixed bedroom is pretty ok : Giovanni's home is the most central hostel in Napoli, 1 minute from the animated piazza Bellini but in a little street, so it was very calm at night.

Giovanni's Home is one of the greatest hostels - comfortable, friendly, affordable & in the center of Naples. It is not your usual hostel - Giovanni gives the best tips, advice & even cooked and played music for us! We extended our stay two nights! Beyond Giovanni, Naples is amazing -- especially with the Christmas Market, the beautiful views, great people, history & terrific food (its affordable too!)! Check out the islands & ruins too, but make sure you spend time exploring this great city!

Giovanni offers welcoming, comfortable, clean and very affordable accommodation in the heart of the historic center, close to the train station. But Giovanni's Home is so much more than that. It is your home in the beautiful city of Napoli, which you are assured to fall in love with, thanks to the good recommandations of Giovanni and the warmth of the napolitani people. Napoli is full of history, art, good food and nice people - what's not to like? :)

Pros: Giovanni's pasta, great wifi, nice terrace, good location in historic district, Giovanni's knowledge/advice, friendly atmosphere. Cons: walking up three flights of HIGH stairs with suitcases, no breakfast (at all... not even for purchase), no lockers or drawers, no keys to the room no napkins to be found. The cons are all little things though. Overall, Giovanni is great. Highly recommended.

Giovanni made of the travel a very good one, because He oriented our plan for the stay days. As the Italian lenguage is not ours, the recomendations were very useful. He helped to build a friendly envairment, for us, and for all the people. The comun stay space is really confortable to share with other customers.

Naples is a much nicer city than what I was told before arriving. Giovanni is a tried and true champion of hostel hospitality and information on Naples and the surrounding area.

Our stay at Giovanni's was Grade A. He gave us the most amazing run-down of the city of Naples and its surrounding parts, as well as a detailed orientation complete with a map and various ideas for our stay. Not only did Giovanni make us feel comfortable in the city, he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable in the hostel. He cooked us dinner twice, and we were only there for three nights. (The pasta he made was delicious!) Giovanni is the best and so is his hostel!

This was by far the best part of our Naples trip. All the reviews are right on target. Giovanni is the most welcoming person and your guide to the city. He will help you find anything you need and gives you an introduction to all the important landmarks right when you arrive. He made us pasta on the first night and it was fantastic!! He is always around if you ever need anything and the people at the hostel were great as well. BEST STAY IN ITALY.

I cannot say enough good things about my time at Giovanni's! He is a wonderful man and truly made my time in Naples something to remember! He helped me to maximize my time - I saw more than I had anticipated or planned on seeing and things I didn't even know about! He definitely makes the place. He is also a gracious host and wonderful cook! If you are going to Naples you MUST stay here!

Giovanni's is the best place I have ever stayed. Giovanni opens his home to people and makes every person feel welcome there. He gave some places to go and told a little about Napoli. This is a great place to stay whether you're traveling alone or in a group. I made some great friends here, including Giovanni. I would highly recommend Giovanni's Home for anyone wanting to travel in Napoli, the best place to visit if you want an authentic Italian experience.

Staying at this hostel was more like staying at a friend's place, Giovanni is so welcoming and lovely. He is really knowledgeable about the city and can answer any questions as well as tell you the best places to see. I was only there a couple of nights and had I not had a plane to catch the next day I would have extended my stay, I liked it there so much! Giovanni cooks amazing delicious authentic Italian food for the guests, plays guitar and sings. Go, you won't regret it!

Giovanni is a fantastic host, his cooking is amazing and his rendition of traditional Neoplitan song 'Funiculi, Funicula' is heart rending. If you want to really see Naples for the fantastic city it is, this is the hostel to go to, as Giovanni will tell you everything you need to know.
