Nice and clean hostel, everything was perfect. Beds with duvets, there was always hot water shower. I saw many humming birds in the garden and the breakfast was the best of all. Highly recommended.

Gisela and Carlos are the sweetest, most gracious, friendly people in the world! I loved my stay at Gisela & Carlos House. There is a beautiful back yard with avocado, lime and guava trees, papyrus plants, flowers, a pool, and a beer garden. It's a 15 minute walk from the beach, and a 5 min walk to a busy street with stores, restaurants, metro, and buses. The hostel rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious- good spot from which to explore Valparaiso and nearby areas!

The hostel Gisela & Carlos was built beside their own house. They are the staff. Very receptive and friendly, the place has a nice atmosphere. It's a little old, but it's OK.

We saw a lot of effort to keep everything clean in both houses. Of course it is not a hotel it is a beautiful nice guesthouse with much better breakfast and kindness than a hotel for a reasonable price. We feel very comfortable and we plan to stay here again.

I loved my stay at this hostel. We stayed there for 2 nights during the week, so it was very quiet with only a couple other guests. It is a little far from the terminal, but within walking distance to the downtown, the casino, the coast, and a metro stop that you can take to Valparaiso. Gisela and Carlos are very sweet people with alot of advice of places to go or eat.

We loved our stay at Gisela and Carlos House. Gisela and Carlos are wonderfully welcoming, kind and generous hosts. Gisela and Carlos are extremely helpful and have a wealth of information to share. Great breakfasts. The pool and yard are a lovely sanctuary after spending the day exploring the Vina del Mar. Loved the tortoise, hedgehog and guinea pig.

This was an excellent and homely place to stay. The hosts, a delightful family of four, were extremely hospitable, helpful and friendly. The hostel rooms are housed in a separate extension just behind the backyard, which includes a pool, sun lounges and a patio. Gisela and Carlos prepared a hearty breakfast every morning and kept the rooms and living area spotlessly clean. I think this is a terrific option for visitors to Viña and Valparaiso and I would be delighted to stay here again.

The hostel is a 10-15 min walk from the main street, but it is in a very quiet residential area which is good if that's what you're after. Really nice garden and swimming pool. The rooms and the bathroom were very clean, and Carlos & Gisela were very friendly and accommodating. The kitchenette is spotless, but quite basic with only a microwave for cooking. Great breakfast included in the rate.

I was surprised with this beautiful place. It is a green oasis with pool and many green areas only a few blocks walk to downtown Vina del Mar, supermarkets and bars... Overall, the hostel, bathroom and rooms are very clean and the breakfast is more like a brunch. If you want to sleep well, this place is perfect.

The only downside was the neighbors dogs that barked continually. This was out of Gisela or Carlos's control. They were very gracious hosts.
