I would recommend it. I had a good stay. The bathroom was a little funky - not in the sense of being unclean, but in that it was very small and had obviously been DIY'ed a few times. I was the only person staying so it was great, but if the dorm was full, that little bathroom would be a nightmare.

Travelled with my 6 year old kid, booked a dorm but because it was quit during the weekdays, gave me a private room because of the kid and i think hostels should be accesible for kids (under 16) also in the week-ends! But anyway had a great time in Glastonbury!

This hostel does not have lockers, which I feel are basic. Otherwise it's very good. The bar downstairs is a little noisy and light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.

If reception is supposed to be open at certain hours then there should actually be someone in reception. The guests should not have to try track them down when they're sitting outside instead.

PERFECT location, very helpful staff, small showers (my hubby is chubby :)), great kitchen/lounge, no free wi-fi :(, petite room (we stayed in a double)... WE'LL BE BACK, TOR :)...

As some other people have commented, the staff weren't always around. The building is very old and there were holes in the floor of the shower and wonky stairs, not something which can be helped but just a warning to others. On the plus side I managed to get a whole dorm all to myself, although I spent quite some time trying to rescue a butterfly which had got trapped in the sliding windows.

Big, airy rooms, and you can actually open the windows! The rooms are clean, the shower in our room was too. Had a look at one of the other showers and that was less appetizing, though. Folks really should clean up after themselves - but if they don't, staff should.... Kitchen and Lounge were a bit shabby and rundown. Other than that, I enjoyed it a lot - I'll be back!

Stayed one night only - you get exactly what it says - Glastonbury Backpackers -don't expect Hilton, rooms are tidy and clean, quiet environment in spite of being located on the main street. Easy to find. Thank you.

Location and room snuggliness were tops but the rooms are all above the only pub in town that is open late so prepare for noise...otherwise, it rules.
