This hostel was great in everything except the guests did not clean their dishes. What i saw in Byron Bay, you pay $5 for dish deposit and you would be surprised how everyone keeps dishes clean! The village is a place to return to.

My Laptop was taken from a PADLOCKED locker, apparently by a cleaner ! It was returned but was very stressful until then as it had many pics, work info etc. The toilets and bathrooms were always dirty and very cramped and small, with wet mats. There was a large open hole next to the toilet seat in the first floor toilet, where you can look down and see rubbish and dirt pushed down. I have stayed in many backpackers in Oz and OS and this is the dirtiest. Also kitchen was dirty and messy.

We stayed 7 days. Glebe is a nice part of Sydney. The hostel looks nice, but its a dirty place. Especially the Bathroom, Toilette and Kitchen.

Kitchen was very messy... dishes were never put away, very annoying! some left pots and pans on the burners!! I usually had to clean dishes before I used them! though sometimes it was clean. but rarely. the fridge was too full. could barley fit food in it, water leaked from the fridge. room, wasn't very comfortable with no screens on the windows, bunk beds had no railings on the top, if you move a lot get a bottom bunk. or at least try too. People were great and BBQ was AWEsome

Location is far from downtown about 45 minute walk but Glebe Village is nice. The hostel is dirty, spiders everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty, in disrepair, and showers were cold. Kitchen is very dirty as well, fridge is leaking all over the floor, not enough dishes/cutlery. We seen people eating off of cutting boards and frying pans. There is one staff that works the front desk who is very rude, otherwise the staff were friendly. We would not stay here again

A lot of Packpackers -had a good time. Unfortunately I did get my money back as I moved out earlier, cannot understand why this is not possible although I told the staff three days in advance.

IN SHORT: this is a hippie hostel. IN LONG: Internet is 15 a day so the hostel is not as cheap as it seems. Dirty bathrooms. Well worn furniture. The area Glebe has lots of great shops and restaurants. It takes awhile to get pancakes on the mornings they make free pancakes. You probably have better things to do than wait for a white guy with dreadlocks to make a crepe/pancake. Since their security was lacking, I plan to go back to the free food shelf even though I\'m not checked in.

Lovely atmosphere, loved Glebe. Lots to do in the hostel - movie nights, ping pong etc. Easy to meet people and make friends. Only complaint is kitchen could be kept cleaner, also would like to see lockers in the rooms. Overall though had a very enjoyable stay- thank you x

By far one of the best hostels i've been to. Nice area, walking distance the city and best of all not the loud traffic outside like at the hostels in the CBD. Because it's a smaller hostel it has more character and is more relaxed. Stayed in a 10 bed dorm and it had a shower and toilet in the room so that was a plus. The price 23$ per night including breakfast and pancakes on weekends! and bbq on fridays is great! Only downside to it was the price for NYE but all the hostel prices go up then...

Horrible experience at this hostel for a couple of reasons: - staffs have very bad attitude and are not willing to help in general - Super disgustingly dirty hostel rooms - very few showers and toilets for many people - staffs didn't introduce the facilities available at all - booked online with my friend in one transaction but was put in two different rooms upon arrival I will definitely not stay here again!

Hi, I have to say, that there is one person of the Staff, who is bored and very unfriendly, but the other were very sympathic. There are Fridays BBQ night and on the weekends you can eat pancakes. This would make by visitors of the hostel and they get one free accommodation for it. The are very big so you don't wait to long.
