The location is perfect, near the beach, tram and Jetty Road which contains all you want. Very easy to get the tram to the city, or easy to get the bus to the Airport for around 5 AUD.

One of the best hostels we have stayed in. Lovely old building, fantastic location two minutes from the beach. Kitchen facilities were excellent, with working ovens, hobs and everything else you would need. Very clean, very spacious, hot powerful showers. Only downside is that the wifi doesn't reach the rooms (but it is free in the central building). We (two people) were given a four bed dorm to ourselves for four nights. Would even recommend to parents to stay here, as quiet and comfortable!

This hostel is filled with character, comfortable and extremely clean. However, I have stayed in many, many hostels all over the world and in each one they give every incoming client a tour of the facilities and explain, doors, keys, best access routes etc. This did not happen in this hostel, and it should, as when you are in one place all the time, you tend to forget that people have travelled huge distances, in many cases, and are extremely exhausted and not oriented to local time & location

I really enjoyed the vintage feel. It will nice to have big double room with own sink and window. Seemed like a more mature hostel than we have been staying with, which is pro/con depending on person. Perfect location for beach

Not exactley soundproof rooms and the lack of a AC / fan is a bit of an issue, but apart from that great place!!

Had a fantastic stay here. The staff were brilliant, especially Tara who looked after us and gave us some great local information. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. Be warned though, in the summer months it can get very hot in there and the AC is only in the communal areas; on a plus side it does get you out of bed so you dont waste a day!

As a lone traveller, meeting people was very important to me. Straight away tony took me outside and introduced me to a table of 15 people and I had instant friends. A perfect introduction! The hostel was clean sociable and eventhough I didn't use the kitchen it seemed to have plenty of space. The hostel actually turns into a music venue on the weekends where the public pay to get in, I had a great night! Just remember earplugs! The j1/j2 (glenelg-airport-city) bus is just opposite the hostel.

Internet was not that fast. Especially when you need to do email or trips or busses. Sometimes internet doesn't work aswell. Extra showers and toilets maybe also. 30 people on 1 toilet and 1 shower? Not very nice.

This is a lovely hostel and i am sure everyone will be happy to stay there. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Cleaner is there all the time, everyday. The only downside is that there are ants in the kitchen. We had an amazing stay !

I stayed a week and enjoyed it. Nice tidy clean room and shower room too. Good outdoor area to chill in. Would of liked more power points for charging stuff. Great location-tram stop and buses right on your diir step more or less-altho the buses in the morning were really noisy. Overall i was impressed and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to adelaide.

Such an enjoyable place to stay. Fun, clean, beautiful spot, great staff, bar, beer garden, beach. And no bunk beds; stand-alone singles yay! Do it.

It's a pretty nice hostel I liked that there are no bunk beds and its cool that its an old building that's been converted. I though the kitchen was tiny though and only two bathrooms per little house. Which must have about 50 people!
