Beautifully situated in glenelg, close to the beach. 30 mins on the tram to adelaide! Clean, no bunkbeds (!).

Loved the no bunk beds! Free breakfast too which is always good. Overall the I was really pleased with my stay here. Everywhere very clean and a fully equipped kitchen. I was disappointed by the service I got from the staff on my arrival. I was tired and just wanted to check in, there were a big group of people at the bar obviously on a pub crawl which is cool, although when I finally got spoken to she saidto wait while she served the others, shouldn't I get seen to first to check into my room?

Too noisy in the halls, the co dormitory kids were aware and thoughtful once inthe room.

Lovely staff, great people and perfect location. A locker for valuables would have been nice though

Cool location so close to the beach but without air con and 40 degrees it was kind of a nightmare...kitchen was not really nice...

really nice place, made some friends, only thing i can say is dont stay here in extreme heat, no aircon and windows are bolted so you cant go on the balcony, 40 degress in a room with 5 other people was hell, by the last night i was the only one left all other had left for a hotel. would be a great place to stay beside that the area is very fun, and the backpacker is cool besidde that and its a licencend venue, so you cannot bring your own beers in.sorry for the spelling beers again tonight

The hostel was extremely clean. The facilities were average and when I stayed there is was very hot, over 40 degrees but the rooms were still O.K.

Great Stay with very friendly staff. The location could not have better suited our needs with the airport shuttle bus right out the front of the door, minutes to the beach and a beautiful victorian town home. there were ample showers and the beds were very comfortable. took advantage of the happy hour beer prices at the hostel bar and drank in the sunny courtyard. only downside to any hostel is to bring earplugs as they had a heavy metal band playing over the weekend nights we were there.

Great location, near to the beach and a beautiful old building. Terrible audience in the hostel bar during the weekend. The showers don't have any privacy, because there is no door, only a curtain, and no place to leave your stuff. The kitchen and the dorms are very spacious and no bunkbeds! Free wifi, but bad connection in the rooms.

A conveniently located hostel in the heart of Glenelg. We received nice clean, crisp sheets, a comfortable single bed in a 6 bed dorm, and the bathroom was clean. The only downside was after that 40+ degree heat of Wednesday, even though the temperature had dropped to a cool 25 outside, the heat remained inside the room we stayed in (5F). Needs better ventilation or a window that actually opens.

Not enough bathrooms to properly serve the number of people. Otherwise excellent facilities and staff. Kitchen is great but needs more blatant signage to remind people that piling dishes in the sink isn't where it ends... you wash dry and put away!!

Stunning building but the setup of the four 'houses' makes this hostel quite segregated unless you know about the courtyard out the back etc still met some cool people here.

i absolutely loved this hostel. it was older but always clean. the staff are awsome and helpful. beach is very close and the tram was easy to learn for getting into the city. the kitchen was very clean and had lots of cooking supplies. when i stayed here I met amazing friends and had lots of fun! this was definetely one of the better hostels i stayed at in australia.

Enjoyed our stay at this Hostel !! Glenelg is a lovely town and has a good connection to the city via the Tram which costs approx $5 ! Once in the city you can also hire bikes for free for the day on Franklyn Street! We cycled to Mount Lofty which was a challenge but a must do!! The Hostel was kept tidy and the rooms spacious, friendly helpful staff and big kitchen facilities for those who wish to self cater would def stay here again !!

Strange setup at this place where down stairs looks like a nightclub and and the sign out the front says no backpacks but its called The Backpackers. Nice bedrooms and shower and toilets. Plenty of cookers and good internet.

We have stayed here a few times now, and it is great value for money, and a very convenient location

Clean and relaxed hotel at the Beach. Takes appr 20min to get into the city, and every time you do so it costs you a few dollars. Kitchen is not complete, facilities do not stimulate contact between guests and not all staff is really into helping you out with transport, etc... Nonetheless, a nice place to spend some quite and relaxed days in Adelaide!
