Rooms were very, very hot. Mixed bed dorms don't really have any air circulation at all. Nowhere to hang anything in the shower either. Can be difficult as facilities were unisex.

Hostel bar was full of drunk locals looking to pick up travellers - had a pretty soulless feeling, and staff that were either too tired or unfriendly, meant the stay was nothing special. They are also very strict on late checkouts: unlike the majority of hostels I've stayed/worked in, they make no attempt to let you know that checkout is upon you, and show no lee-way on charging you (over a meager 30 mins). Pretty rich to still charge when a room has been left in a good state.

Great location, can't ask for better in Adelaide. 20 minutes to the city on a Tram. Airport 25 minutes on a bus. 5 minutes walk to the beach and great food. No questions about location. Breakfast was great boost to the morning. Highly appreciated. Free wifi in the lobby is a bonus. Toilets and showers or OK, but feel a bit grogy and a forgotten. Noise a bit of a problem but nothing unexpected. Slamming doors are annoying and guests yelling in corridors late at night and early in the morning...

Character-filled rooms with comfortable beds (linen included!). No air-con unfortunately so the room was very hot, but luckily I don't mind the heat. Decent cooking facilities and plenty of fridge space, though no provision for locking belongings away in the dorms. Great location close to the beach and Glenelg restaurants/cafes/nightlife.

Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. The hostel is very close to the beach and shops. The atmosphere in the hostel was really nice. It can get a bit noisy on the weekends for there is a bar on the ground floor. I enjoyed my stay - would love to come back!!

Glenelg is like a little small village in Adelaide. Stayed at the glenelg beach hostel for one nights. The beach is a few minutes walk away. It is around restaurants and little shops. Free toast in the morning. Nice outdoorarea. The J1 Bus to/from Airport leaves right in front of the hostel.
