Awesome hostel. Has everything you could think of: Great kitchen, free Wifi, free bikes and kayaks for hire, piano, guitar. Best hostel in NZL so far.

Had a short layover at global village enroute to Franz Josef glacier. Host was really friendly and helpful and we loved the nice laidback vibes about this place. Location was good too with food and supermarket nearby, as well as a couple of bush walks.

Absolutely loved this hostel! Stayed in a hostel in Queenstown that was double the price and less than half the quality. Loved the cleanliness and opportunities at Global Village - better than a hotel in my opinion. Kitchen had every appliance needed and more. Can't wait to come back to New Zealand and stay again!

Great location and facilities. Really nice atmosphere and vibe to the place. There's a nice big common room to meet other travelers. Showers and toilets were clean, a big common kitchen and nice views all around.

Best hostel I've stayed so far. They have a pick-up and drop off service at the station. And in the car I already felt really welcome. The hostel is really cosy decorated with influences from all over the world. It's really clean and comfortable. You can use their bikes and kayaks for free. Good wifi and friendly staff.

This hostel is one of the best hostels that I've every stayed. Everything is very clean, good location, and it was easy to hang around with other people. Above all, all Japanese staff are absolutely kind and friendly. Thank you so much for that!

Stayed for one night and was great! Everything we needed. Kitchen was really nice and beds were comfy with lights and plug sockets next to it! TV room as well as a separate area for reading and using free wifi, really liked the lay out! Staff were friendly and helpful! Location was okay but probably best for greymouth.
