VALUE FOR MONEY. this was my second favourite backpackers throughout the whole of new zealand. the owners are so nice and genuine and are really there to help out. the backpacker place itself has such beautiful character i wish i couldve stayed longer

Whilst this was a very lovely hostel, well decorated and really clean I feel that it doesn't offer the same value for money as other hostels. The free wifi of 100mb is severely lacking and the fact the spa is $5 for 45 minutes, when the aquatic centre across the road has a spa for $4.50 unlimited use , is really annoying. However, saying that I ended up having to stay in Greymouth a few days and the hostel was really homely, the log fire good and it was very comfy and warm with a luxurious feel.

The hostel was very nice. The decor was very unique and tidy! The beds were the nicest I've slept on in a hostel, linens were soft and the pillows actually felt like a pillow. The one downside was that the wifi is is not unlimited and only avaliable in the common room. The pricing of this hostel is great, it doesn't feel like a budget accommodation.

Came in late so they left the keys out for us, very helpful with everything! The place has a really cool African art decor. Very clean, secure and friendly. A little bit out of town, but we had a car so it didn't matter.

We had a really nice stay at the hostel. Friendly staff, clean facilities, Free Bikes! Original Vibe and Atmposhere. 5 Stars.

Very good hostel, not expensive and very clean.

Among all the places I've traveled around south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand, this is no doubt the best one I've ever stayed. Great staff here and all the places are delicately designed with art works in different culture styles. very close to the supermarket and you can enjoy a good walk around the lake.

Very nice comfortable bunk bed

Very nice place, one of the beat hostels Ive ever stayed in. Also nice single rooms if you prefer one. lots of common space , lots of art and very clean, good staff! . Its a bit of a walk to town but there are bikes and other places nearby to get food etc. Greymouth isnt big anyway, but the ocean is very close and ther are some fun things to do. I stayed here a number of years ago and glad to see its still going well!

The weather outside was frightful, but inside was most delightful! There was such a level of artistry evident everywhere you looked. The hostel had an African theme reflected in beautiful wall hangings, mirrors, artifacts, even hangers and waste baskets! In addition to this, our room was clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet. We didn't use the kitchen, but thought the bathroom was beautiful with new hand basins mounted onto the .counter top, and state of the art tile work.
