hostel was well equiped apart from a plug in the room to charge my phone which was annoying, staff weren't the most welcoming or social but were helpfull, probably stay somewhere else if in plymouth again, but for a party weekend it served its purpose of a bed and a shower.

Below average, not homely, bedrooms very basic, kitchen far from clean. Main bin always full, baskets used to put visitors food in dirty. Maintenance poor, staff not around much am. Also noticed not much window opening in public rooms and a lot of electricity waste. Bedrooms would benefit from a coat hook per person and some rails to hang towels. in the absence of ladders attached to each bunk to climb on to top bunk, a chair would suffice. I speak as a trained housekeeper and tourism operative.

A great hostel in Plymouth within walking distance of the train station. The location gives easy access to the City centre, Plymouth Hoe and the international ferry port. Staff when I checked in were very cheerful and helpful. The only problems with the hostel that I could see was the lack of secure luggage storage and the fact that the interior is looking very dated and could do with a renovation or at least a deep clean!

It would be nice to have a description to find the hostel; we have walked for ages until we've found it as the street names are very confusing; when we called we were only told to follow the numbers which is not really a good hint! Then, our bed and towels were clean, but the room not completely tidied up as we found a pair of socks in it. Also, we only had coffee-powder in our room during the first night. All in all, the hostel look really shabby, but the double room was really okay to stay in!

A nice simple hostel. The old building is showing that age a little but everything is clean and functional. Seems to be a few longer term residents but the wifi works, the room was fine and the bloke on reception when we got in helpful. Cheers!

I am sorry to tell that this is one of the worst hostels in the world I have ever been in. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY! Our double room was acceptable, but the common spaces (tv room, dining room and, most of all the toilets and showers) were terrible, both in terms of cleanliness and structure. Very bad experience!

a nice place to stay a few days, not far from neither the city center nor the Hoe, the most beautiful place in Plymouth. I recommend you to try it, it's quite cheap and well located. However, the dormitories impose a promiscuous way of staying. It can be right, or wrong.

The locality, on the Hoe probably the best in Plymouth, short walk to see the harbour and fireworks display. My room was good but the apparently new mattresses weren't. Padded mine with a duvet because of prominent springs. Strange showers, couldn't get one to work at all, another gave a cold shower. Staff explaining how to make them work would have helped. Pretty basic amenities, but long term customers friendly and helpful.
