Staff is friendly.Everything is excelent ,exept cooking facilities. Fridges is warm,i dont think they work .Hostel can buy big second hand fridges from charity companies. They normally selling for £30-40 quid. Some empty space can be used as loundry,as there is no place to dry your washed clothes . Atmosphere is fantastic .Friendly Australian receptionist .Cheap asian kebab shops . Barking is poor area by London standards, but its excelent place to start new life .Cheap rented rooms, cheap food

Its really good for visiting London with small budget. The staff is very friendly and cooperative and try to solve every problem immediately. Breakfast and cooking facilities are also provided.

It was good but the water pressure was terrible and there was barley any hot water. It was very noise at nights and the beds were awful.

The dorm door was easy to open without a key. Just a little push with the shoulder and the door were open. In the room where we can take breakfast, it's better to remove the carpet for hygienic reasons. These are the reasons why i rate security and cleanliness so low. But the stuff was very nice and helpful.

We spent only one night there. Generally it was OK but we had completely soaked shoes and heating didn't work so we couldn't dry them

The place is very far away from the city. So you have to spend the money you safe for the room in tickets for the train. The neighborhood seems even a bit dangerous to us. There are only four showers (three of them are working and two of these three have light)! Most of the time it's not possible to wash your hands or brush your teeth because you can only get water in the shower rooms. It's very loud the at night in the hostel and the main doors are almost never locked. Not a nice place to stay!

The lounge is maybe too small. There are lots oh people in a little place who eat, watch tv, computer and talk very loudly.

Located on top of a really nice-looking pub, the place does not look very well looked after. It is a regular hostel, in the end, when you think about it: smelly rooms with no curtains, kitchen with people not washing their dishes and short bathroom queues! But hey, what do we expect? It's one of the cheapest in London... Ok 45mn bus from Aldgate, but again, that's London! Staff is very friendly and pretty helpful. Simple breakfast included (tea and toasts). Linen and towels, as well...

I stayed at the Inn for two nights. There were both good and bad things regarding this hostel. Staff is very friendly and good company, The location in zone 3 and value for money are very good. There were a number things I did not like about the hostel. First and foremost is the large group of Italians that have taken up long term residence there. Second the beds are not comfortable at all. Finally the inside of the building is worn out, the bathrooms appear a but unclean.

I've stayed in quite a few hostels over the years and can honestly say that Globe Trott Inn is the best value for money in London. It's a really great place. Clean and tidy and staff who are always helpful!

This is the worst hostel I have ever stayed it!It was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. It was not only far from London, it was quite a long walk from the metro stop, and in a sketchy neighborhood, not a walk was comfortable doing at night. Also, the man working at the hostel threw an all night party in the common room- it was so loud! I couldn't sleep! And since the only person to complain to was also the host, there was nothing I could do. I would never stay here again!

West Ham was a lot harder to get to than I thought! (The train lines were a disaster at the weekend, make sure you check it out before arrival). I walked right past the hostel, you wouldn't even notice that it's there unless you go into the pub and ask the. It's a busy hostel but the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Free breakfast is also a huge benefit and it's comfortable. There was a funny smell but it didn't really bother me, excellent value for money!
