A huge thanks is in order to the friendly and caring hostel managers for helping us immensly when apollo/cheapa campa car rental company tried to screw us over. I stayed at the Globetrotters for 5 days, and was very pleased to see a hostel so tidy and well organized. The staff were excellent and helpful. I would recommend this hostel to couples, families and backpackers who need good facilities in a calm area.

Great place to stay! Backpackers heaven. Rooms are big and clean, tv and kitchen are perfect. Location is great, just 5 minute walk to the centre and quite at night so you get a good night sleep. Pool is great. Staff was the nicest! Pick up at hostel and very helpfull. I would recommend this hostel to everyone!Great place to stay! Backpackers heaven. we really enjoyed our stay here the room had all the facilities and qualities you would need it was a home from home. was excellent stay. VERY helpful owners. They upgraded me for the same cost, as they were unablke to offer me what i booked. offered lift to the airport and contacted me with any changes!! one of the best stays ive had.was excellent stay. Nice cosy hostel within walking distance of the Esplanade and 'downtown'. The owners are quite helpful and the rooms are spacious. The owners are wonderful...let me check in early so I could go to the reef shortly after arriving. The location is fabulous and safe. It felt like visiting friends and family. A long string of problems -- the door lock was broken, the TV didn't work, no toilet paper in the bathroom for two days -- compounded by the fact that reception was NEVER open, and so we had no one to complain to. The best hostel I have stayed in by quite a distance. We had a larger room than most hotels I have stayed at. Free interenet, free cable TV in the room and very quiet. Close to the main shops etc in Cairns but not too close that you get all the noise. Would definitely stay there if I go back to Cairns.
