Well run hostel, lovely owners, free wifi which is a rarity in Aus. All rooms, kitchens and lounge areas are cleaned at least once a day. Great location 1-2 min walk to the excellent sea front area. 5-10 min walk to the town centre. Shop 30 seconds away. They arrange all trips and airport transfers. Nice borrowing your own box of cooking gear! Can be social here, watch TV, hang by the pool or in the garden, also easy to find your own space and relax in peace. I booked 3 nights and stayed for 10.
Globetrotter was so far the best hostel I have been to the past year of traveling. I've never seen such a clean, nice, nearly hotel- like place (apart from staying in a dorm of course) before. And I particularly liked the non- party hostal aspect, it was a very nice change from former, louder places. For my last days in Cairns and Australia in total I was just looking for a nice place to relax a bit and was not disappointed. Great prices, great rooms and helpful staff! Would really recommend it.
Loved the place. The staff was very friendly. very near to the coast
All-in-all: One of the best hostels at our whole North-Eastern Australia trip. Especially, the booking service is excellent - here you are the best one. Continue your business that way! Thank you very much & best greets from Germany!
Very nice hostel. Some of the rooms were completely new with very big single beds. Staff was nice and always helpful. Kitchen was always very clean. Very relaxed atmosphere. Especially nice for couples. Excellent value.

I felt really comfort in the place. It has a really interesting design where the 'living room' interacts with the garden and 2 kitchens. The upper part of the kitchen does work, you have to ask someone to explain how because some people like me are not used to the electric kitchen. I could make a pumpkin soup really quick!! The location is great, close to the esplanade and like 6 blocks to the centre. The bus stops is really close,50 m or less, to take you to the nice beaches away from Cairns.
Stayed at Globetrotters for 5 nights, great location just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Staff helpful and friendly. Good idea by leaving a deposit for kitchen utensils as this keeps the kitchen very tidy and doesn't mean there will be washing up left laying around. Free wifi is great, sometimes a bit slow but you can't really complain. Would recommend this hostel!

It was the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Instead of cheap metal bunk beds, they have solid ones, where you don't think there's an earthquake when someone turns around in his sleep. The 8-Bed Dorm I stayed in had a own bathroom and a small kitchen plus a little area with a table and chairs to sit together. It was very clean and there would come a person ones a day to clean the place up even more.
I enjoyed staying at the globetrotters international. I was in a 8 bed female dorm and still there I had Privacy. A bathroom with a toilet was ensuite ,a little kitchen with microwave and refrigerator and even a small place to sit and talk to other backpackers. After beeing in Port Douglas I returned to this place and booked another 4 nights. I recommand this place
