The best of the hostel is the staff. They are extremely nice and friendly. people. The hostel is located next to the big hall market... awesome place, cheap fruit a vegeteables, lively atmosphere, good prices to buy some gifts. And there is not need to get a ticket for the public transport because it is very well situated - 15 min from city center, jewish district, 3 min from Donau... Very recommendable!

Clean, quiet, and homey. Loved our stay here and the staff were so friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the city that we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else should we return. Great place to meet other travelers and figure out where to start in a city with so much to do. Thanks especially to Evi!

The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were accommodating, helpful and friendly from the moment we walked in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the connection to wi-fi was great, there were computers available, breakfast was a great way to start the day, and I really had all I needed plus staff that gave great recommendations and truly made me feel at home in their cosy space that is full of character.

I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights and I can only say good things about it. Mostly the great location! Even though it seems hidden at first sight (no signs outside), it is very easy to walk anywhere. I've bought the 3 days ticket at the metro when I arrived , but I didn't needed at the end, cos Goat Hostel is a walking distance to everywhere! There's also free breakfast of cornflakes and toast with jams. And the staff is soo friendly! I'd only recommend to stay there while in Budapest.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great familiar atmosphere, because the hostel is big enough to know all the people in there after a few hours. Just in the city centre. Weakness: only 3 showers for the whole hostel is a bit limited.

Excellent location (even use of underground isn't necessary!), staff (and rates) is extremely friendly. Breakfast wasn't so big (only bread, jam and cornflakes), but coffee was very good :) No problem about cleanliness or hot water.

So i did not stay here finaly, I had a problem with my connection during the paiement of the 10% and I had to give up the booking. And I choose another hostel. But the booking had finally been saved so I went to this hostel to cancel my booking. The staff have been very comprehensive (I come after the first night booked) and didn't charge me. I took a glance at the dorms and it was all right, no bunk beds but normal and confortable beds instead ! Charming building and nice atmosphere inside :-)
Everybody in the hostel were very friendly and seems interested in making you things easier. There is a street nearby with a lot of restaurants and local market and citadel are reachable walking. It is a small place, three rooms with beds, Wi Fi worked well.

The best thing about this place was the staff! Extremely warm, friendly, and helpful. This place can be a bit hard to find but other than that, I highly recommend it while staying in Budapest. It is right next to the Central Market and on the other side of the bridge from Gellert baths - very good location.
