The staff was so friendly and kind-- they really made the stay incredible. They took the time to get to know us and were extremely accommodating; giving plenty of tips on where to go in the city, offering to make coffee in the morning, doing our dishes for us, etc. It is a really small hostel which is nice too and makes it cozy. Bathrooms were nice and clean and the beds were cozy.

This was my second stay at Goat hostel, and for the second time I was blown away at the staff! Everyone you'll ask here will be more than willing to help you and generally have a deep understanding of Budapest. The only thing I would warn about is that if you are a solo traveler looking to meet people, the clientele, usually antisocial Korean or Japanese groups, are not optimal. I've no idea why this hostel attracts these groups so much, but both times I was they made up the majority.
