As hostels in Moscow go this one is the crown. That being said hostels in Russian are quite different than those in europe. Excpect a great place to sleep, take a meal and ask for advice and info but not much more in atmosphere. Of course that is ok because really you have come to see the city :)
Best hostel ever! Really, I been at hundreds of hostels, but this's best one.
Great coffee - real filter coffee, and free! Really nice lounge, exceptionally friendly staff.
I think Godzillas is loosing the charm, cleanliness that made them popular. Yet, it is still a convenient place to stay, or until a better hostel opens up. 4 bdrm rooms are too small.
Excellent hostel - probably the best and most helpful service I had from any hostel in Russia. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful - particularly Anastasia! There probably aren't enough showers (only two) for three floors, but they're excellent showers with plenty of room and very clean. The location is great, just a 25 min walk from the Red Square and a 2 min walk to the nearest metro. The downside is the cost. 600 rub for registration when other hostels do it for free.
Unfortunately there was no flight on November 10 to Moscow. I informed Godzillas Hostel by E-Mail and Phone. But I can tell you, I was there in October and really surprised, completely excellent!!

Friendly, safe and clean.. in a central location and at an affordable price.. we will definitely come back!! Thank you for making Moscow even more enjoyable.
Great showers, close to the centre, free popcorn and coffee, loved it!
The taxi pick up from the train station was way way way overpriced at 35$ Canadian. We didn't know Moscow when we arrived so we paid, to learn later it was far too expensive. Other than that the free coffee and popcorn was great and the rooms were clean. Beds squeaked a LOT. I'd stay again though, just figure out other transportation from the train.
This place is nice. There are cleaners working all day and even into the late night which obviously made the place really clean all the time! The wifi was okay the first day then bad the rest of the time. Even to the point the house computer couldn't even process my boarding ticket. Staff were really friendly and helpful though. I would recommend!
Great and secure hostel in central Moscow. My only gripe is the pricing for the cheaper rooms - the price seems to go up and down each day, making a stay more expensive than it might originally seem.
A very friendly hostel where staff go out of their way to help. All English speaking staff. Very very clean everywhere. We had a twin room near to 2 showers n toilets...hot water n very clean facilities. Hostel is 20/25 mins walk from Red Square. 5 mins to nearest metro tube. Small supermarket open till 10pm on same street. Restaurant n bars very near by. Would highly recommend.
The hotel staff speak good English and are courteous and helpful, esp Anastasia. The direction to the hostel from the train station could be a little more precise.

This is a great hostel, in a great location with great facilities. The staff can be a bit unwilling to use their initiative or their own minds with administration problems connected with registration, but aside from that this is a friendly enough place to stay. The problem with the hostel is the failure of the hostel to keep up its high standards. The place needs investment to keep up its standards and reputation. Replacement mattresses, sheets, bedding urgently needed.
Clean, good showers etc. But really expensive for what you get. Also charge too much to register visa's which is taking advntage of guests that already pay an expensive rate to stay here when compared to competitors. But really nice staff, decent location that is 2 min walk to metro and 20 min walk to red Sq.
A great hostel! the location is good (but no supermarket or convenient store nearby).
This is a clean, friendly and well run hostel in an excellent location. Some of the staff are very reluctant to use any initiative or take responsibility with problems that crop up from time to time, but they are helpful enough. The hostel is let down however, by its lack of investment. Like all such ventures there is a great deal of wear and tear on facilities. Most mattresses now need replacing, some of the bedding and towels need replaces urgently. Some repair work needed in places.
