We really loved this guesthouse. It is a Japanese style lodging and its location was superb for access to many of the main sightseeing areas and locations in Kyoto. The staff were very helpful and accomodating and this was a perfect place to chill out for a couple of nights and it was very comfy and clean.We really loved this guesthouse. More of a ryokan than a hostel and in a great location, this place was excellent. The rooms were a good size, and the owner cleans everything meticulously. Nice fully equipped kitchen. Great little spot close to the major Geisha district (we saw at least only a few blocks away) and some of the best sights in Kyoto. Friendly staff and great facilities - they even gave us drink vouchers at the Gojo cafe. You'll be hard pressed finding a guesthouse of better value than this one in Kyoto. It's clean, the rooms are comfortable and the location is great. I loved this place. Stayed here with my boyfriend and we had a spacious japanese style room. Really nice. Free internet, good showers, good location, only 5-10 mins on bus from station (220 Yen) and close to shops, restaurants etc. Only one down side, really hard to find, but made up for it when we arrived. Great place to stay, the staff were very friendly and always went out of their way to help. The location is great; perfect for exploring Gion, and walkable from the train station so long as its not too hot! (Around 900yen if you dont want to walk) The common area is small but its good to be able to meet people there, plus free internet is a bonus.
