great location, some friendly staff, extremely rude security person you are not welcome to make any noise after 12. Also a lot of signs telling you to have fun but don't bring sand back, don't be loud etc etc it's a strict place

Had a great time at Gold Coast Hostel in Lagos! The patio was a great place to meet people and all the guests were very friendly during my stay. The kitchen is all new, and great for cooking meals and socializing. The only downside about this place is the very strict rules about the patio closing at 12. It is definitely a quiet hostel too, as their are rules about noise levels late at night, so it was nice to be able to come home after a night of partying to somewhere quiet.

This place was very relaxing. As they mention in the ad, it's not a party hostel. But Lagos is a pretty small town so it's near all the bars and nightlife so it's perfectly fine to go out and return to a calm environment. My biggest issue was they didn't have security lockers to put your bag in. They did have small safes big enough for essential paperwork and money though.

Amazing place! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, individual showers and great atmosphere. Everyone starts with drinks on the roof top terrace and then heads out on the town for drinks. One of the best hostels of my trip

I loved my stay at Gold Coast - 6 nights. Spacious rooms, great kitchen, ARTHUR!! (the best). They offer many services for great value. Cheap drinks available, but you may bring your own. Not a "party hostel" but still a great vibe. Everyone gets together for a drink on the rooftop and heads out to the bars at 12. Thanks for everything Arthur!

A bit of a weird atmosphere. Showers have a timer which was annoying after every 2 minutes they turn off. Nice staff, great kitchen and balcony. The air was great!

Good hostel. I stayed in a private room which was great as it was in a separate building down the street so was very quiet. Location is good and main bars are literally at the end of the street. Beaches are also close. Staff were great and took time to make sure I made the most of Lagos. I would stay again.

We stayed at the Gold Coast Hostel for two nights. It is right in the center so a lot of people come here. The staff is helpful and recommended us some nice places to go. The rooms are simple but alright for a few nights.

Great hostel. Only one complaint- no lockers for backpacks. They have a small safe for each person and you set your own password. But it only fits passports, wallets, etc. A bit of an uphill journey to get to it. It is not a party hostel . Those who are drinking on the terrace are asked to leave at midnight . I had a room right next to street, was noisy when partiers were coming back. Super clean. Basic breakfast . Towel included :)

Best hostel I've stayed in for a long time! Bit too expensive but we did stay there in peak season.

Great hostel, very friendly staff that are always willing to help you out. Good location to shops, restaurants, supermarket and beaches. Awesome kitchen facilities and is always kept clean. The terrace was a great place to chill have a drink and meet other people! Will def return to this hostel when I'm back in Lagos!

Great place all around., but the hostel doesn t really organise any activities, There is plenty of stuff to do in Lagos, but it is going to be on your own. Great kitchen and terrasse. Good local wine for sale at the hostel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and it was great. It has a great social atmosphere, especially at night on the terrace. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were modern. Everything is so close in the old town and only a 10 min walk to the cliff beaches. Arthur was so nice, he explained all the great places to go/see/eat and booked us last minute transfers to Faro airport.

Great staff, Arthur is a legend. Kitchen well equipped and nice terrace on which you can enjoy a 1€ sagres. Not too crazy with parties etc. Really weird paintings on the walls downstairs

A fantastic hostel when you're not looking for a crazy party place to stay. Large, airy rooms and ample bathrooms. Great kitchen and terrace for cooking. Had a really uncomfortable bed, but was the only downside. Staff very helpful and can answer any questions.
