Fabulous friendly clean place near everything. From the moment you walk in Carlos makes you feel welcomed and gives great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We bought fresh fish at the fish market and Carlos and his wife made Portuguese soup for us...sooo delicious! I am near the end of my around the world trip and this is one of the best places I've stayed at on my entire trip!

The staff gave excellent recommendations and were super helpful.

Everything was really great at the hostel; I felt safe and welcome and was very happy the WHOLE entire time! The staff there were extremely nice and talked to us; one night we even sat with them on the couches and they told us all about Portugal's history, and when they met (they were a very sweet couple), etc... I felt very much at home. The only little problem was that I wish the lockers were bigger; they'll only hold passports, money, a camera, at the most; no room for a backpack.

Gold Coast was one of the best hostels I have stayed in! The owners were fabulous! They were hospitable and super helpful, they made you feel right at home. The kitchen was well-equipped and new. The terrace was lovely at night. I would stay at this hostel again and highly recommend!

I stayed at Gold Coast for two nights with a group of 8 girls. We have nothing but great things to say about the hostel--the staff was incredibly helpful and always available, the location was perfect for us, the atmosphere of the hostel was great for meeting other travelers, the kitchen was new and very clean, the hostel was quiet at night, the rooftop was perfect for chatting with other visitors, and there was free internet. Overall, an incredible weekend. I'd stay there again for sure!

Great location, friendly and helplful staff!

It was a really clean and nice hostel. Not a party hostel at all though! But you can party all night and come back and actually sleep. The staff was helpful, but very strict about making us leave at exactly 12am! The internet is free and there is a nice lounge downstairs with a flat screen to watch movies. The breakfast is minimal - toast, orange juice, and cereal. It was good hangover food. The location was perfect too!

i had a really great time at the hostel the staff were excellent and everything was set up really well good common area free internet free breakfast well worth the money. i would recommend this hostel.

Thank you for giving us lots of local advice on our arrival. Laundry service is the best we've experienced on our trip. Great kitchen facilities, internet, cable TV and room servicing.

Gold Coast Hostel was a great place to stay for our chilled out weekend. As the other reviews say, this isn't a party hostel so its a bit hard to meet new people but great for getting a good night sleep! Its easy to go to the other hostels and meet new people in all the bars around town so it was perfect for us.

I loved this place. The staff was so incredibly helpful and the sangria night with the staff and the hostel was so much fun. I would highly recommend staying here if you go to Lagos!

Nice place in a small quiet street, helpful staff, clean and beautiful roof terrace.

We had a very nice stay but if u want to party u suppose to find another one, because staff even u're quite quiet- complains and reproves! The rooms are nice and clean, beds are good and still the staf was very helpfull!

we had a perfect stay at the gold coast, the staff was very friendly and helpful! the rooms and bathrooms were always clean, we'll come back for sure!!!

Lovely hostel. Very clean and staff were wonderful. A relaxing place to come back to to escape the party that is Largos.
