It was a pleasure to stay at Golden Gobi. The staff are friendly and hard working. The hostel is clean and comfortable and there is enough space that it's never to crowded. Good facilities, great location. I will stay here any time I'm in the Mongolian capital. Thanks for having me Golden Gobi team.It was a pleasure to stay at Golden Gobi. Amazing! I never felt so much at home so far away from home. The warmt, central but also quiet location, clean, helpfull staff (also English speakers) a lot of knowledge about trips in the nature of Mongolia, warm showers, always koffee and tea. And rooms for a good rate. I have been to different hostels in UB, but this was by far the best experience I had! Parallel on Peace street, near the Department Store very central! No wonder everybody in UB wants to be at the Golden Gobi!Amazing! I never felt so much at home so far away from home. Golden Gobi is one of the best Hostels I have ever stayed in. It is right in the centre of the city and they will pick you up for free at the Train Station. It is a family run Hostel and all the staff are so friendly and will do all they can to help you out. If you get a chance take one of their tours - all the guides and drivers are locals so they know all the hidden spots and are great fun. We did one for 2 weeks! The golden gobi welcomed me as a family. What you hear is what you get. This family is very good in what they are doing. They help you organizing a tour, let you feel at home, taking care of the hostel and their guests. They unexpectedly picked us up from the station, took us back another day, and picked up our train tickets all for free! We also arranged an amazing tour with them, and they really made us feel welcome in a country we knew nothing about. Golden Gobi is a great place to stay. There was a good mix of people, young and old. The staff and family are friendly, socialbly and hard working. Although i didn't go, alot of guests had been on guided trips which by their enthusiasem sounded really good. It's only 5-min from the state department store and plenty of good pubs. I was made welcome and the place had an atmosphere more of a friends place than a hostel. Next time i goto Mongolia, I will be going back to The Golden Gobi.Golden Gobi is a great place to stay.
