This family run hostel was a great little place with character and their double private room large and a great price. We got some odd treatment when we said we were not going on one of their tours but otherwise our stay was pleasant.

It's all about the tours, I recommend it, I have been traveling 4 months now and the 12 day tour was one of the best things I have done. It was all due to an amazing guide and driver, Mogi and Alto (Calvin)

The staff were rude and unhelpful.I wanted a change of rooms and they were very unwilling to help and forfeited my Deposit.the dorms were very cramped and there was no warm water in the shower.except for the Location,I would not recommend this place.

Very nice and helpful staff, great atmosphere, amazing and flexible tours for a reasonable price, I really enjoyed the stay and 3 day tour I experienced with Golden Gobi. Only suggestions I may have is the way they keep the records. When I was leaving I had to show my receipt 3 times to 3 different members of staff as the book was kept in very chaotic way and it was only my luck that I kept the receipt at all times and could prove my right, especially last time when I was in hurry for a train.

busy but friendly place, nice staff. They also organize tours - you may book them upon arrival, even if your stay is rather short, didn't try because I had something else planned (which I wouldn't recommend : http://www.guesthousemongolia.mn/), but people sounded happy about the tours from Golden Gobi.
