The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the room was fine, but with no hot water, no wifi anywhere more than a few feet away from the front desk, and tons of construction noise starting at 9 am, I will find another place next time I'm on Koh Phi Phi.

This place was a mix of nice and poor bungalows. I spent time in a couple of there bungalows on different visits. I go back because it is cheap (for Koh Phi Phi), out of the way and quite at night. Plus the view (if you overlook the reservoir) is quite nice. You get a room, poor bathroom but a private place with a patio. You can definitely do worse. Don't let the bad reviews scare you off.

We really enjoyed our stay there. It was a bit aside the main area where all the bars are but that was perfect because we could sleep without being disturbed by the noise. Also, the views were quite nice and being able to get to the terrace in the morning and enjoy the sun was superb! Staff was friendly, efficient and quite welcoming. Also, place was clean and bed comfortable.

read some bad reviews but decided to book anyway due to price! great little place, only 5 minutes walk to the main beach and 10 mins to bars in town. but nice being away from it all so quiet! yes there are mosquitos about, but hey, its asia!! the resevoir isnt that ugly either! dont follow the bads reviews, and remember its usually only the ones who have bad experiences that write those reviews and dont take into account the hundreds that have a good time but are too lazy to write reviews!!

Location up on the hill is a bit annoying, but Phi Phi is tiny anyway so only a 10-15 minute walk into town.. Staff were awesome, super helpful and really friendly.. Although they were building a pool next to our room that woke us up too early every morning I still had a great time. Would recommend!

The bungallows are located a bit uphill outsider of the very busy 'downtown'. This is a very good thing as there is no way u find any sleep if u r at the center. The center is way to loud and it is very well wort it to walk that 5 to 10 minutes. It is true u need to climb up like 50-70 stairs but come on. That is nothing for folks with backpack. The owner has his own style but at the end the whole thing is ok, it is more of a 70%rating then the current 5X%. The eastern beaches are easy to reach

I had a great time here. The staff was funny, helpful, and cooked a great breakfast. It's a bit of a trek up the hill if you have a lot of luggage, but this is a minor gripe. The location is actually nice since you have a great view.

Nice staff. Towels were very old with bleach stains and holes in them. Rooms were not cleaned throughout stay

Heed my warning!!! Do not stay here! In between a sewage pond and a dump yard. Crazy trek through unsturdy bridges and treacherous steps to get to room! Insects everywhere! Smell was unbearable. Security poor. Wifi non existent! It's more expensive to go elsewhere but worth it!

The staff were rude and not one bit helpful there was not lockers or even a lock on the bedroom door so anyone could walk in at anytime, it was a bit out of town and i had to walk up about 65 steps to get to my room the place was like a maze and i got lost a few times and because of its location its full of mozzies and i got bit to death, I have been travelling for 14 months now and have to say this was one of the worst hostels i stayed in and would no recommend it.

The location is quite far out, you will enjoy this if you are a mountain goat. You have a beautiful view of a building site, and a dirty reservoir. It was basic and average, but some of our group were less satisfied than myself. Massive downside, they are awful at laundry, you will lose stuff, but gain other peoples clothes and they really don't seem to care. You need ear plugs if you want to stay in for a night as really loud music which goes on late. I do rate Phi Phi, just stay somewhere else

Our room was located at very steep unsafe steps with no help from anyone to carry our big bags, just a "good luck" remark from the man that worked there. Our room stank and wasn't the cleanest and we had part of a tree growing in our bathroom! Not once were we asked by the English man that worked there if we were ok or even acknowledged us when we walked past.
