Be prepared to walk when you get off the boat, there are no taxis in phi phi so you will have to carry your luggage.

Was wary going looking at reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere lovely people. Rooms are nothing fancy and it's a bit further from the action but so long as you're in phi phi to party it's perfect.
We had a lovely stay of 6 days in a standard double room. Room was clean, staff spoke English suffient and were very friendly. We didnt mind the stairs (about 5 minutes up), but hopefully they sort out the towns sewer system quickly, cause there are a lot of "surprise smells" (over the whole island btw). Nice and quiet (not to close to town) a 10-15 min walk to beach.
Every morning we were woken up by a loud banging and squealing noise - genuinely sounded like a pig was running around outside! We were in a room with just a fan - would definitely recommend aircon as it got absolutely boiling!! The location was the main issue - up a steep hill away from town which wasn't ideal. Expensive but the pool was good.
Very clean, friendly staff, decent value. Rooms without AC are very hot, and despite having a fan it is very difficult to cool the room since the only windows are very low and do not face an exterior wall. Room was about 5 degrees warmer than outdoor temp at night.

The location of this accommodation is a good 15-20min walk up hill from the pier, which Is certainly a struggle If you are carrying a back pack or wheeling a suitcase. There are no roads so getting aa taxi is not an option. The bungalows are very basic, not very clean and lack air conditioning. There is a swimming pool which Is a bonus, and the low price tag is definitely attractive if your on a budget. But don't have high expectations of this place. You get what you pay for.
This place is fine if you don't mind a trek home every night (or in 35 degrees with a backpack!) The pool is great but owing to the fact it's next to the reservoir it's a bredding ground for mozzies! Staff were nice enough but didn't interact much. There were ants all over my room and I wasn't able to change as they were fully booked! The room itself was nice, a view to the sea from the small window, clean and air conditioned. Not really worth paying £32 a night though!
Short walk to the beach/center of phiphi, swimming pool and bar on site definitely a bonus, food available too! Staff and owners very friendly and helpful (not to mention forgiving when we turn up late after getting side tracked by one of the many bars in town!). Room was cleaner, larger and in general nicer than expected considering the very good price! Would definitely recommend!
Good value for money on what is a pretty expensive island for accommodation. Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets and the steps leading up to it weren't that much of a deal. Island is small so only a stones throw from the bars and beaches. Very nice pool to chill out in as well. Only down side is that there didn't seem to be a secure luggage hold and no safe in the rooms. Safety deposit boxes at the reception though. Seemed pretty clean as we didn't see much in the way of critters
It's really not so far away and if you want to be able to sleep at night away from all the parties it's a good option. You have to walk a little bit but if you're in good shape it's not really a problem. However, our deposit got lost, I had my copy of the document so I got my money back (it was taken from other deposit because we were in a hurry) so be sure to keep all the documents until you check out. Either way I would recommend it and would come back.
terrible location, on top of a cliff face with no proper stairs to get to rooms. windows and doors do not shut properly. dirty rooms with no air-con or facilities not as described, didnt even stay here total rip off DO NOT STAY HERE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!
They've got good facilities, nice location and bar by the pool which is a good plus. Altough not in the center very good location, the island is so small so you have everything at your fingertips...
Staff completely lacking in hospitality skills, apart from the English guy who is working there temporarily. Really scruffy around the bungalows, rubbish all over the place. You have to come down to reception for wifi, which is frustrating. One evening I went to the desk to ask about ordering food from the kitchen and without even looking up at me from his book, the owner just said 'closed'.
As a backpackers we weren't expecting the Ritz, but this was without doubt the most disgusting, dirty, delapedated hell hole we have ever had the displeasure of staying. The long uphill, unlit, dangerous walk to the "bungalows" was the first of many horrors. The water ran brown, the bathroom was a biohazard, and we were covered in bedbug bites. To be fair when we asked to move rooms they did so the following day- but only to a marginally better bedroom with an even worse bathroom! DONT STAY HERE
The sounds carries to the hostel from town but I doubt there is any place on the island in which it doesn't! Bit of a way out of town. There is also a massive hill to climb to actually reach the rooms. They seemed to be having building works done. Hostel was cleanish. Phi phi is a bit expensive for accom. For a few nights this will do.
No Internet in rooms, pretty hilly walk as it's the furthest place to stay from town, showers were particularly cold and staff pretty unhelpful especially the English guy. But good pool area, average to comfy beds, and okay for the money seeing as it's one of the cheaper places to stay on the island.
